Regarding the ACE, we have been here 12 days so far and the rider numbers have been increasing steadily. Yesterday it was pretty busy all day. Sadly a lot of people are trying to ask the driver questions through the door and slowing things a little. We think it's great though, just like having the old 302 back.

Yes it goes to both outlets and Town Square.

For Vegas noobs, the outlet mall at the top end of the strip (off Charleston) is loads better than the outlet mall south of the airport. The outlet mall at Primm is also very good (especially the Hollister and Juicy there), but is about 40 mins away by car.

once again you've all given invaluable advice!! my trip is really starting to take shape already. the tipping advice has been fab too - so much better to have an idea of whats expected, dont wanna short change people when its their income!

just wondering about this ACE bus thing - does it go to both the premium outlets and the las vegas outlet centre as on the website for the centres it says they do - but on the bus website it only names one of them as a stop iykwim?!

also thanks for the wedding advice, definately looks as if we left it too late to have a wedding here - which is no bad thing as ive looked into getting married in vegas and it seems more us!! just wondering if anyone has done one of the more daring wedding packages - we saw u can get married in a helicopter over the strip at night time and i thought that would be so much fun but not sure about what company to use or if it is really any good in reality?

has anyone done the indoor skydiving thing as it seems quite pricey even with the discount voucher. just wondering if its worth it?

and finally - i know there have been lots and lots of talk of restaurants and the best one etc and i have read lots but where shall we go (in your opinion) for a lovely wedding night meal-just us two, not high rollers prices but a nice meal we'll remember? and how far ahead will i have to book this?

    thanks again guys

we got married and then took a helicopter trip over the Grand canyon . The people on the next trip to the Canyon were getting married in the helicopter over the canyon .

Ours wasn't too daring...just Elvis and us in the Diner! We had everyone watching via the internet at home in Leicester though. I can't see the point in getting married in this country these days...way too expensive! Just think...a £17k wedding over here would pay for all your Las vegas holidays for the next 7 or 8 years!!! We paid $329 to get married and that included a DVD, 24 photos and internet access for those in the UK.

I think the minster fee was $60 (no tip needed), and the limo driver was a $25 minimum tip which we tipped more...she was really nice. She asked us how long we'd been together before we got married. We told her 14 years and she screamed! Then she asked me what i was playing at and said that was the longest she'd known 2 people to be together before they got married!! Our limo driver would have dropped us off anywhere in Vegas we would have asked for, it was no trouble for her.

We ate at the Monte Carlo buffet on our wedding day, it was lovely (for us anyway). We were there during Thanksgiving which is arguably the busiest day of the year for restaurants and we didn't need to book a table so unless you are thinking of somewhere Über exclusive (and expensive), I wouldn't worry too much about a reservation. If you are there a couple of days before your wedding, you could always check out a few restaurants first and then book one after you've looked around. Maybe this is where you could fit in the Venetian if you fancied that?

One tip I would offer (and it does sound bad when I say it I!!) is to get your wedding done sooner rather than later while you are there!!! My wife told me off before we went when I said that to her, but now she say's it was the right thing to do. We arrived on the Monday and got married on the Wednesday. It gives you a chance to wind-down then for the rest of your trip and you can then enjoy the rest of your stay. I say this because I've never been married before and I got really stressed out about the wedding.

Also, regarding our wedding photos, because we got married early on during the trip, the $30 fee for posting the photos back to the UK was waived as they were developed while we were still there and we were able to collect them in person. Bonus.

We were really, really shocked to find Elvis did not expect a tip. We thought that was reallly weird and the limo driver had to call him back as he was the one person we felt deserved a tip!

It can depend on the stores you're interested in though - we like the Rockport outlet and it's only at the one far south, not at the one closer to downtown. The one nearer to downtown has more stores, but a lot of them are higher end stores which may not be some people's thing.

The below is based on store names listed on each centre's website and run through a vlookup - so may not be free of errors if store names were shown slightly differently on each centre's website. :)

This looked a lot nicer when it was in 3 lists and not run together. :)

OMG, I haven't had a PBR since I was a poor college student (next to Old Milwaukee it was always the favorite because it was so cheap). :)

Luci is magic - as usual. So glad I went for the $1.57 deal the other day - delivery the week before we go in August.

I am delaying booking a hotel for a bit now - dollar at $1.45:eek:

Wife is thinking of a two centre with Carriage house and ?Mirage. To be honest, I would be happy to crash at the Carriage house for the week

I would go ahead and book the Carriage House now if you are considering it. If you book over the phone they don't even take a deposit so you have absolutely nothing to lose.

OH says it was his favourite hotel of the holiday and we stayed at the Encore, Bally's NT, Aria, MGM Celebrity Spa Suite and Carriage House. It is just so convenient. 5 mins to Miracle Mile, 10 mins to the strip, the pool is 2 mins from your room.

All those times are from the room. In a lot of hotels, such as the MGM, it can take 10-15 mins just to get to the front of the hotel.

The pool isn't great, but it depends what you are looking for in a pool. I don't do sunbathing, but OH does and he doesn't actually go in the pool so it doesn't really matter. You get the same sun whichever pool you're at.

Got home at 8pm last night, but our luggage didn't and was delivered at 6.30pm tonight.

I was watching both the BA and Virgin flights for almost a week before we left. The BA flight was up to an hour late, but the Virgin one was often 6-7 hours late. So much for people opting for it so that they would get into Vegas in the afternoon. It usually landed after the BA flight.

Pebbles told me that, on Monday, friends had arrived at midnight instead of 14.10.

Our flight was 50 mins late in departing at 9.30pm and landed 30 mins late at 3pm. That gave us less than an hour to catch the flight to Aberdeen. We had to deplane, get on the monorail at T5, go through 2 lots of boarding card checks, race to security where there were massive queues, waited 10-15 mins there then hare to the boarding gate.

They must have held the flight for us as they were all looking for us and one other person and had been tannoying, but we didn't hear it as we weren't near the gate. They closed the doors as soon as we got on.

Got to Aberdeen and no luggage, but it was delivered tonight.

No big wins and I think we played a bit less than normal, but it was a great trip.

Seems to be making a bit of a comeback. I'd obviously never heard of it before moving over last year but I've been to several places now that have it as their "happy hour" beer.
To me it doesn't taste and better / worse than the majority of the domestic beers
