We arrived back to Heathrow at 10.25am this morning. It was our first visit to Vegas and all I can say is you cannot imagine how it is untill you have experienced it. It was amazing, brilliant, awsome etc etc!! We stayed at MGM & loved it, although it is big and a bit further out, it had everything we needed and the pools are fab (although we didn't get much chance to sunbathe as there is so much to see & do and we wanted to fit in as much as possible). We did the Grand Canyon, saw 3 shows, looked round most hotels, stratosphere rides, fremont street experience and premium outlet shopping malls. There are no clocks anywhere and for alot of the holiday we didn't know if it was day or night alot of the time......and to be honest it didn't really matter as everywhere was open 24/7. The KA show at MGM was good, the acrobats were very talented & the stage was amazing.....but compared to other cirque de soliel shows that I have seen, this was my least favourite. I found the story & theme very dark. Now, Love at The Mirage, WOW a must see, absolutely fantastic & you don't necessarily need to be a big beatles fan. We went into the Revolution bar before the show (had buy 1 get 1 free cocktails voucher) & this added to the magic! We had such fun & a fab time. I am already planning my next trip to visit all of the things we didn't get round to! Viva Las Vegas!!!

I was wondering if you could let me know how much a 1.75l bottle of Jack Daniels and how much a 750ml bottle of Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka is is in Duty Free (Terminal 2) @ McCarran  if anyone could let me know it would save me the hassle i went through 'last trip' (long story)

No 1.75L bottles of JD at Terminal 2, only 1L at $25 and 3L. Also no Smirnoff Vanilla.

Remember the Duty Free at Terminal 2 is pretty small with not a lot of choice.

That looks good especially as delivery is not to far ahead.

their current rates as of yesterday for the same delivery period are between 1.47 and 1.48

Luci is magic - as usual. So glad I went for the $1.57 deal the other day - delivery the week before we go in August.

I am delaying booking a hotel for a bit now - dollar at $1.45:eek:

Wife is thinking of a two centre with Carriage house and ?Mirage. To be honest, I would be happy to crash at the Carriage house for the week
The force is strong in this one!

I ordered some to last week at 1.57 and some in jan at 1.77.

I think I said before I have never stayed at Carriage house. It looks great BUT it is not on the strip, it doesnt have a great pool and doesnt have a casino. If thats ok with you book it as it is a great price for what you get.

You might regret delaying...who knows?? I have been ( about 4 years ago) when it was down to 1.36

I think unless something really off the wall happens with the new government it can only go up now . Personally I'd wait -but then it's not my money ;)

Good spot - thanks...since the deals recently have been for delivery from July and since we're off to the US in June I just skimmed over this one until you posted at which point I got straight on the phone and ordered about 3/5 of our budget. I agree with duchy that it can only go up but given the quotes for other places at this point and given that I'd missed the chance to do much better right before the election I didn't want to end up kicking myself twice. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We ordered at 1.578 from CC the other day, and we go to Vegas on 23rd August. The only problem I now have is do I want the rate to go up ( hotel already paid for, and all cash purchased) then my rate may not look to good.Or do I want it to stay lower,so I can be happy in the knowledge I got a good deal ( though shopping will be bought with PO card while there).
Suppose I'll Happier if it goes up, as shows and excursions are still to pay for also.
