For Ferf -doesn't really capture the atmosphere of the Vegas show but gives an idea although the Flamingo show is better though it has some of the featured numbers

Excellent - thank you! I really do plan to see the show next trip. I think part of my husband's reluctance has been 'I don't know any Donny and Marie songs' and until you mentioned Stevie Wonder, it hadn't actually occurred to me to check to see what songs they sing in the show. :o I think armed with this new knowledge I may be successful, though he did say about a week ago that he would go with me...but followed it up with 'what are tickets, like $50?' Erm, well..no...no they're not. :)

mmm...well, from the photos I've seen at least of Paris and various MGM rooms, they do appear to be a whole lot smaller than all the Bally's rooms we've been in...perhaps it's all in the angles that the photos are shot? The photos on the site I posted of Bally's rooms are exactly what we're used to and do seem bigger there too...the MGM Grand Tower room looks to be a good size though...

THe more observant amongst us will have noticed over the years that the size of the WW rooms at MGM are not given on the page you go through when you book a room, unlike the 446 sq feet promoted prominently for the grand tower rooms. You have to look up the specific accommodation to find they are only 350sq feet.

And those with a better memory, obviously. I suppose that since MGM isn't one we normally consider (other than the CCS awhile back) I don't leave enough room in my brain sometimes. :)

Blackjack tipping - whenever I get a Blackjack ie 3/2, I always put the "extra bits" (say a $5 table, I'd put $2.50 for the dealer) in front of my box for the dealer for my next hand. If it wins, he/she doubles up, if not, c'est la vie.

Poker tipping - tourneys - generally theres a chip addon at registration eg another 2,000 chips for an extra $10, and all the $10 go to the dealer tip pool. Youre also meant to tip the dealer at the last table when you win, so say you win a grand, Id guess a $50 is appropriate.
    I would be quite happy to tip $50 when I win a grand:j:j !!!!!

If you can get a suite ,either CSS or BS on a twitter thursday for 1c more than a GT room, you could get a 694sq ft room for $55

When my husband won $1200 on a slot he was all stressed about what to tip - especially as there was a lot more work than just paying him with the tax forms, etc...but mainly because the guy had stood by the slot at Paris while he went back to the room at Bally's to get his passport. In general the idea of tipping slot attendants is so bizarre to me (and I totally get the tipping thing in general)...but in this case I suggested he give $20 to each of the 2 people helping him. That's about 3%...I think some would say that was a bit mean, but if the guy hadn't stood and watched the slot while he went back to the room, I would have felt less inclined to tip...the only reason anyone would have helped him would be because the casino has to report the win over $1199...not because of any sort of customer service thing.

I used to HATE getting a hand pay for $100 which in some cases only covered part of my losses for the day and then feeling like I should tip the guy...when the only reason I had to have a slot attendant involved was because at the time, when it was coins only - no TITO, most places had a 2,000 coin maximum and anything over that was a handpay.

Dealers I can understand more...but the slot attendants, generally, I never quite got.

10 nights at Circus Circus??? I am one of the few on here that doesnt mind CC as the room in the main towers are ok BUT no way should you spend 10 nights there it would drive you mad as it is full of kids and the casino is "dirty"

It is also to expensive as CC can often be got for about $30 a night.

Virgin are usually one of the most expensive for packages.

Have you read page 1 of this thread and followed the links etc

Have a look on expedia for the same package. I'm sure you will find a much cheaper package. Personaly, I wouldn't want to stay at circus circus, although it is one of the relatively cheap ones!
