I think that may be better than 25% off at least in some cases - looks like the Summer of Cirque offer they did a few years ago with prices from $50 for many shows.

I checked Love as we would see it again (3rd time) for $50 and while I could get some dates in June to work for $55, when I choose any of our dates in October I get the message:

There are no group tickets left for this event.

Will keep trying though - could be a great deal. Lowest price tickets at Love are normally $93 - so even at $55 it's a really good deal I think.

    hi guys
i have read as much of this post as possible so apologys if this is a repeat post or a silly question. i have been to vegas before and we stayed at the strasophere and we found it all fine - good price - didnt mind taking the bus etc but im wondering if there are better places for similar money. i have trawled the net (but not as good as you guys would do im sure) and i can find a deal on last minute dot com for the dates i want which is 21st August to 28th september (unless you know of any reason why not like conventions, weather etc as we can be flexible on dates but has to be sat to sat as oh works mon-fri and has to take a week hols around aug/september time)
on this post i see you are all recommending booking via the hotels to get a better price and i also see alot of you are recommending the wynn but when i go on the website its really quite pricey - am i missing something important lol??
also when i goto the airlines directly its really expensive.
at the moment the last minute dot com deal is flights and 7 nights at the stratosphere for £1286. this is really more than i want to pay but think i will have to!
any ideas or help would be really appreciated
its for our honeymoon if that makes any difference?

What airport are you looking to fly from, if London, is that price for direct (Virgin or BA) or indirect and is that price for both of you (I assume it is, but just checking)?

Oh, and as for Wynn, most people here are getting their deals from 3rd parties that have prices a lot lower than booking direct...cityandshow and atlaschoice are those that come to mind. But I would have to doubt you could get prices comparable to the Strat!

oh sorry yes that was for any london airport but dont live far from either heathrow or gatwick. it is indirect with an hour or so in houston or such the like. that is the price for both of us flights and hotel although i just edited my original post to change the dates as my mum has just informed me she can only look after my baby between 21st-29th aug (altho at a massive push i can guilt trip her into the week after lol - her work wont be impressed but if it saves me money lol)
    thanks

    Hi Peeps

Thinking it's about time to make the hotel booking for our family trip at the end of August (25th for 7 nights) and would appreciate the thoughts of the Vegas experts, based upon the following 'loose' criteria

We are a family of 4, two boys 18 and 14 - I have been to Vegas, but this'll be the others 1st trip to America
    • Location - would quite like centre strip, for easy walking to the main views (the fountains, volcano, Forum shops etc.)
    • Room - wife would like something fairly spacious - 2 queens I would think, most suites seem to only offer 1 king bed
    • Ameneties - no interest in the casino (I know, why Vegas then!). Reasonable pool would be good for a lazy day or two
I have a car booked for the entire week, so will be doing some driving around - mount Henderson, Death Valley etc. and we will certainly do a helicopter trip to the Canyon and probably take in a Cirque show.

So far I am considering Ballys (central, OK pool as I remember), MGM, bit further out - but excellent pool and larger rooms, maybe Paris - poor pool, but looks nice.

I would really appreciate a few suggestions

    Thanks:)

I really would like to go see a cirque show. It'll be first time for my partner and I. Any idea which show would be the best to view? I'm getting tickets showing at $55 but i'm unusre which one to go for!

Of the ones Ive seen, KA is superb. LOVE is next best, and Zumanity just got relegated from the Vauxhall Conference. Any seats fine for KA as the set is HHHUUUGGGEEEE.

Apparently Elvis sux, and Believe is carp.

I go to Vegas every year and personally my favourite is 'O' but having gone several times with friends they all preferred Ka so I'd second Froggitt if this is your first Cirque.

Love is also excellent (obviously especially if you like the Beatles) and you wouldn't be disappointed with Mystere either.
