Mooky, it is Spirit airways charging for carry-on.
BTW Southwest STOPPED charging for hold luggage and their revenue went up 20%. Makes you think, doesn't it.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Hi
Hope someone can help. What's the cheapesr & easiest way to call the UK from the US? My mum is in hospital and I would like to talk to her once a day for 5 mins but dont really wanna come to home to a £200 phone bill. Skype/internet not an option. My mobile network is Orange and I am on a contract if that helps.

    Thanks!

We also use calling cards purchased at convenience stores/petrol stations in Vegas for this...but don't buy them out of the machines in the hotels as they are terrible value for money. You can either call from a pay phone or your hotel room - though your hotel room may or may not charge a connection fee (at Bally's it is $1.25 for the first 20 or 25 mins). We thought it was worth it to call from our room where it was quiet.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

ferf you did me a massive favour getting the dongle from Best Buy! Just taken it back and got a refund no problem. Then OH spotted these 4G cases for 1c! They are meant for holding an e-reader or similar, but I wanted something to hold the charger and ethernet cable, etc for the netbook. I thought it would be 1c with another purchase, but no, they were 1c each so I got 2. I could have cleared the shelf and sold them on eBay!

Went to JC Penney's at the Boulevard Mall and managed to get a complete outfit for my God-daughter's wedding in October at 50% off everything if bought before 1pm so I'm just delighted. I thought there was a JC Penney at the Fashion Show Mall, but there's not.

So glad it all worked out OK - sounds like a complete bargain at Best Buy! I like that JC Penney too - got a suit there last trip for $50 (down from $120) and a pair of tracksuit bottoms for $11 (down from $35). My sister and BIL say never buy anything at JC Penney unless it's on sale because it probably will be next week. :) I know Boulevard Mall isn't the best mall in the area but we stop there most trips because it's convenient and we like a few of the shops.

We went to Boulevard Mall in 2005 or 2006 and I didn't like it. I found the shops expensive then and didn't get anything.

Didn't look at anything else apart from an outfit for the wedding, but there was tons of regular stock at 50% off. This wasn't left over old stock in a sale.

I could have sworn there was a JC Penney at the FSM, but I must have been mistaken as I certainly couldn't find one yesterday.

BTW I've been up since 2am (it's now 3am). Flipping jet lag!

Update on the breakfast at the Venetian food court. We have just had the $9.95 breakfast and it does include coffee and toast. You get the choice of 4 items from bacon, sausage, French toast, fritata, scrambled eggs, pancakes and breakfast potatoes.

It was bigger portions than yesterday and was very good.
