AprilBA allow one free bag upto 23k....0

The trip is all ready, got £200 (£800x4) in tesco vouchers, £600 in paypal being transfered to a paypal debit card meaning we only pay £600 between the two of us for a week staying at Mgm, this summer with virgin holidays. I know comments before have suggested better things to spend the tesco vouchers on but were looking for cheapest holiday without having to spend our own money and this way means i get far more to spend on black 17! Dont know wether to take helicopter to grand canyon this time or drive down again. I guess the helicopter tours dont stop at hoover dam??Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Aprilas far as I know the helicopter tours fly over the Hoover Dam but don't stop. They also go to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, not the South.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

well pointed out everyone! sorry - i've given duff information there re: baggage!
(it's because we always take two bags, i knew from now on we'd get charged extra for doing that)
don't think we'd ever get away with just one bag each for Vegas.... not with the missus' shopping habbits
will go back and edit my post0 -
I was wondering what your process for booking Vegas is (wow, that makes me sound like a holiday bore!)
7 of us have just decided to go next April for my 30th birthday- it'll be my fifth time, my husband's third and the rest are virgins! There's 11 months to go, so there's not much point even thinking about booking now, but do you all start looking around now? I think we'll do NYNY but could be tempted elsewhere.
Is it best to look for flights in the Jan sales, or should I keep my eye on those throughout the year too?
Look at flights now, I usually book flights when they are released, that is often when they are cheapest and then when you have them booked DONT look at the prices again.
Hotels, you can start looking now but you wont get good prices until the end of this year for april next year (as a rule)0 -
MayHi peeps
Posting from the Encore. Flight with BA was good and the food was very good. Flight landed at 7pm, deplaned, through immigration, collected luggage, got taxi, checked in and were in our room by 8.05pm!
It's a great room. OH is watching live British football on the TV on the ESPN2 channel, Birmingham v Burnley.
Coulnd't get the Virgin Broadband2Go dongle to work as I can't register my UK credit card as it will only accept US details so going back to Best Buy with it this morning.
Intending trying Stripburger late with a restaurant.com cert.
Gambled for an hour last night before crashing. Played Queen, Sex and the City, Wizard of Oz and Jackpot Party. Couldn't get on Goldfish as they were all full.0 -

That depends when you purchased the tickets, if it was before Oct 09 then you still have 2 x 23 kg bag allowance per person.0 -

That's a shame. I know you can buy top up cards for it at Best Buy, but that's probably not the best way to do it since I think they only sell the $20 cards. Sorry if it's going to be a hassle for you to take it back. Glad to hear that the flight was good and you're enjoying the room at Encore!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

No, don't apologise. I was delighted to have the opportunity to try it out with possibly not going to Best Buy. We would have had to go anyway, possibly twice, if you hadn't been so kind as to get it for me.
Now in the Venetian food court on their free wifi. Just had breakfast there - 2 eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, toast and coffee, $6.50 each. Bargain!0 -

BTW We are thinking of extending the trip and on the off chance I phoned BA to see if we could change the return date, fully expecting them to say no because we booked deep discount tickets. To my surprise I was informed that we could do it for £90 each, I was really impressed that they allowed it at all, and the price is reasonable enough. Then I was told that there were no spare seats in Club or Plus coming back till the 30th. May (our original date is the 20th.) So either we stay longer and fly back in cattle, or we stick to our planned dates. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
