We didn't find it a hike to the strip from our room at Bally's, and this is coming from someone who probably won't stay at the Signature again because of the walk.

It took us 15 mins to get to the strip from our room at the MGM. I know because I timed it.

I didn't feel the need to time the Bally's walk so it couldn't have been long.

Like ferf said, we never used the front entrance. That's obviously used by tourists and not residents!

We used the side entrance onm Flamingo to go north and went through Paris to go south.

However the OH said that it was a hike from our room in the South Tower to the pool.

Can anybody help me with understanding the child policy at strip hotels?

Some, like MGM Grand and Luxor ask how many children on the booking page and also indicate that under 14s (MGM) / under 12s (Luxor) stay free. Others like NYNY, which is also an MGM Mirage hotel dont mention them.

I also cannot find any T&Cs anywhere for these hotels that explain their policy. I dont want to book somewhere like NYNY and then get hit with a £30 per night charge for my 10 year old son...

I have been taking a child to Vegas for last 12 years and never paid for him yet.

But it does depend on where you stay and how you go about it.

PM me if you want me to explain further

Interesting article about HET buffet lines while the offer is on

    From your resident buffetologist:

Last night, during the 7:15-8:30 PM time range, I visited PH, Paris, Flamingo, Harrahs, IP and Caesars.
PH and Paris had the longest (estimated 1-2 hrs) lines. Paris allowed you to pay an extra $10 to receive instant seating, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of a bargain.
Flamingo and Harrahs were about half as long, but it still appeared it would take close to an hour to reach the register. No line and very in-room customers at the IP. For whatever reason, Caesars was closed. Apparently, they do not open for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I did not travel over to RIO, but have to believe their lines are on pace with PH and Paris.
Bottom line (no pun intended), this promo is not worth the hassle.
My intention was to take part, but why fight it, for perhaps each meal you hit up during the 24-hr period.
And, I realize my audit was done during a prime eating period.
Still, it seemed to be stressful waiting in those lines, not just for pain-in-the-!!! part of it, but worrying if your 24-hrs will elapse before you get in. For the deal-grabbers, there's a real fear of not having something pay off. I don't need that risk while I'm on vacation.
I was even by myself and backed off. Just think if there are a group of you in on this. The hassle is further compounded.

Not forgetting it is now $34.99 with a TR membership or $39.99 without

Thanks for your comments about the Cup Final. Would prefer to stay on strip to watch, dont really fancy forking out $40 in taxi's + $20 entrance fee. As it's 7am Las Vegas time hopefully we will have plenty of options. We will be in the Wynn, so maybe their TV will show it? Will have to find out :)

Youll find all the sportsbooks are more than "a TV"!!!

I would expect it to be on the main screen with audio, but if not there are private screens in all the booths. Venetian is next door, and they often show UK footy - I saw Villa Arsenal there a year ago just before Grand Canyon trip.

Tut tut. You are doing it the wrong way round! lol

Hope the MGM isn't too much of a disappointment after the Wynn!

Mmmmm - Caesars Classic "Holiday Inn" Room was a huge comedown from Venetian for us. :(

This year we stayed the week at Signature to avoid any risk of comedowns!!!
