MayWe go to Vegas on Thursday 6th May, stopping at MGM Grand......so excited!!:T0

Hi,
new to this forum so hoping you can help!
have been to Vegas many times with hubby but not since birth of our 2 year old!
Hubby is going for a week in Sept with the 'boys' to celebrate his 40th and thats all booked and sorted. I am hopefully going with the 'girls' for similar celebrations the weekend of 27th/28th November but nothing booked as yet.
Ideally we'd like to have a suite for the 4 of us rather than 2 separate rooms. Any suggestions other than the Signature and which websites to use for booking?
Also need to check out prices for flights for that weekend as its just after Thanksgiving so not sure if that will make it more expensive.
Any advice welcome!
Thanks
Thanksgiving will make room prices more expensive , as for Flights possibly . if you booked a connecting flight is reasonable to assume the internal flight leg will more expensive thus bumping up the overall price ...but i cannot say for sure .
as for Suites , let me BUMP this for you , and hopefully someone will have some 1st hand knowledge . :ABetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
MaySitting in Heathrow. Flight from Aberdeen was an hour late in leaving, even though we boarded almost 30 mins before it was due to leave. This was due to air traffic being backed up at LHR.0

when we went we just went West on Charleston and agree with photome, you can't miss it.
Personally, we like Valley of Fire more than Red Rock...it's a bit further, and less hiking-type opportunities, but we thought the rock formations were awesome.
Stop at Walmart on the way back to stock up on beer and nuts for the room....and breakfast if youre staying at the Signature.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
AprilWe are off on honeymoon on 17th May, after reading some posts I am tempted to go to Mnt Charleston, which looks staright forward enough - I assume I won't need a 4x4 in May?
I was up Mt Charleston two weeks ago and didnt need a 4x4 for the journey.... main Rd was snow free.....you wont be disappointed if you do make the journey0 -
Hi everyone,
Just about to book my flights and thought would check bagage allowance. Thinking of booking with US Airways for what i can see their bagage is not free but $15 and then $25 for a 2nd. Is this normal?0 -
unfortunately it has become the norm - i'm sure it's still free with some carriers but for the majority it will cost money unless you want to upgrade your seat to premium / business / 1st class
even Virgin and BA charge for baggage now(BA have an added charge if you want to pick your seats prior to 24 hrs before check-in!)
EDIT: sorry - duff info - Virgin and BA actually only charge you if you want take more than one piece of baggage per person! --- 1st piece of baggage is free0 -

Agree - that WalMart is very handy - we've stopped there the last few trips our first day to stock up on sodas and water and snacks and buy a coffee maker for the room. It's not as nice as some of the newer WalMarts and even if it's not actually closer to where we started, it seems like it.

AprilStill, it seemed to be stressful waiting in those lines, not just for pain-in-the-!!! part of it, but worrying if your 24-hrs will elapse before you get in. For the deal-grabbers, there's a real fear of not having something pay off. I don't need that risk while I'm on vacation.
I was even by myself and backed off. Just think if there are a group of you in on this. The hassle is further compounded.
Not forgetting it is now $34.99 with a TR membership or $39.99 without
I agree that queuing repeatedly makes it a lot less interesting...and the price increase, while it's still a good deal if you work it properly, it's no longer the no-brainer it was.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
