the current restaurant.com code is SUPPER

    But it's only 50% off.

Will have to wait a bit for the higher value codes to come out. If you sign up on their site you will get regular emails from them with the current codes. Edited to add that MEAL 80% off ended yesterday - normally the closer to the end of the month, the better the discount, but some will be sold out by then.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

ferf you did me a massive favour getting the dongle from Best Buy! Just taken it back and got a refund no problem. Then OH spotted these 4G cases for 1c! They are meant for holding an e-reader or similar, but I wanted something to hold the charger and ethernet cable, etc for the netbook. I thought it would be 1c with another purchase, but no, they were 1c each so I got 2. I could have cleared the shelf and sold them on eBay!

Went to JC Penney's at the Boulevard Mall and managed to get a complete outfit for my God-daughter's wedding in October at 50% off everything if bought before 1pm so I'm just delighted. I thought there was a JC Penney at the Fashion Show Mall, but there's not.

Just used Voipbuster (a version of Skype) for the first time and it worked a treat so had a great day so far.

    Hi
Hope someone can help. What's the cheapesr & easiest way to call the UK from the US? My mum is in hospital and I would like to talk to her once a day for 5 mins but dont really wanna come to home to a £200 phone bill. Skype/internet not an option. My mobile network is Orange and I am on a contract if that helps.

    Thanks!

Luci, I hope you're planning on doing your daily TR on Brian's.

It will certainly help me get excited for our trip in 3 days. I'm just not feeling it at the moment because I've had so much to do!

I'm happy that the BA flights worked out well, we might consider them for next year. BTW, which place in Venetian food court gave you that breakfast deal? It definitely sounds like something we should check out.

The only place we've had breakfast @ Venetian before was Bouchon, and while it was very nice, Tony thought it was extremely overpriced for what it was.

    Hi pebbles

Yes I am intending posting my trip report on Brian's once I get round to it. It's still only 5.30pm here so I haven't had a full day in Vegas yet although it feels like we've been here for ages.

The place at the Venetian food court is the Rialto Deli. There's another place there that does a breakfast for $9.95, but that doesn't include coffee. If you decide to have tea instead of coffee, bring your own tea bag as their one was useless and it looked like a cup of hot milk. I've learned to carry my own tea bags after being caught out there before. I asked for another tea bag and was charged $1!

Just been to Stripburger and it was very good. Not cheap though as it was $39 for 2 burgers, 1 fries, a shake and a 32oz beer. I had a restaurant.com cert though so that helped.

Been feeling the jet lag today and have a splitting headache so off for a nap.

We love Strip burger and will be visiting courtesy of Ferf's coupon. Thanks Ferf.

I'm not sure if we have tried Rialto Deli. We have been to a couple of places in there, but mainly for the WiFi, so can't remember the name.

We're looking forward to meeting you soon.

Others maybe can help you better but I bought a phone card (once a while ago) for about $10 and that was enough to use a pay phone once a day for 5 days, may not be cheapest but it was easy

Look at flights now, I usually book flights when they are released, that is often when they are cheapest and then when you have them booked DONT look at the prices again.

Hotels, you can start looking now but you wont get good prices until the end of this year for april next year (as a rule)

Thanks for the advice a least I can start booking/getting excited about the trip now, even if it is 357 days to go!

    Hi everyone,

Just about to book my flights and thought would check bagage allowance. Thinking of booking with US Airways for what i can see their bagage is not free but $15 and then $25 for a 2nd. Is this normal?

Unfortunately, a few of the US carriers are doing this. I had to pay on American Airlines a few weeks ago. $80 for 3 bags! There's one of the cheap US airlines that's attempting to start charging for carry on bags too, as so many people and taking those little suitcases to avoid paying the check in bag fees :rotfl: It was all over the news when we were there, but can't remember the name of the airline. It wasn't one I recognised.....
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
