JuneCan anybody help me with understanding the child policy at strip hotels?
Some, like MGM Grand and Luxor ask how many children on the booking page and also indicate that under 14s (MGM) / under 12s (Luxor) stay free. Others like NYNY, which is also an MGM Mirage hotel dont mention them.
I also cannot find any T&Cs anywhere for these hotels that explain their policy. I dont want to book somewhere like NYNY and then get hit with a £30 per night charge for my 10 year old son...0 -
MayIf it's not clear on their website then a quick call to reservations would get you the correct answer.0

April100% disagree. I wouldn't rank either casino as that great really and MC is bigger...but Bally's location is much better and rooms are huge...plus easier access to a number of other properties. Both properties seem to tend to attract a slightly older crowd, but MC always seems like most of their clientele are quite a lot older than average. As for dining options, I don't think Bally's has many of note, but there are so many right around there that no one will be short of options.
It's all relative and all that...but MC is one of the properties that has never even made it to the consideration stage for us.
It is all relative and really depends what your after and what luxury your use to, but as with all Harrah's properties Ballys is being run into the ground and is such a long walk from the strip.0 -
MayThanks for your comments about the Cup Final. Would prefer to stay on strip to watch, dont really fancy forking out $40 in taxi's + $20 entrance fee. As it's 7am Las Vegas time hopefully we will have plenty of options. We will be in the Wynn, so maybe their TV will show it? Will have to find out
Luci - we are going 11th - 20th May staying at the Wynn for the first 4 nights and moving "down" to the MGM for the final 5 (A lot cheaper that way!). Ever so excited, I just hope it lives upto our expectations!0 -
MayTut tut. You are doing it the wrong way round! lol
Hope the MGM isn't too much of a disappointment after the Wynn!
We're doing it the wrong way round as well. Starting off at the Encore, then Bally's, Aria, MGM Celebrity Spa Suite then Carriage House.
Doesn't bother me as we've stayed at them all except the Aria before.
I really like the rooms at the MGM.
Not sure what you mean by "TV"? If you mean the TV in the room then I doubt you will see it there. However there is every chance it will be on in the Sportsbook on a massive screen. If it's not, which I doubt, just ask and they will probably put one of the TV's on for you.0 -
MayIn 11 hours I should be on my first flight waiting to fly to LHR.
In 27 hours I should be standing in the Immigration queue at McCarran airport.0 -

I agree it's all relative, but the being so far from the strip comment always baffles me. You can go out the side door and turn left or the main door by valet and turn right and be right on Flamingo, cross the street and not many steps later you're at Flamingo and LVB...sure, if you go up the escalator and out via the moving walkways it seems like a bit of a haul, but you don't have to go that way. Since Bally's is not a big property, it's probably a shorter walk from your room to the strip than many other places even taking into account that it's set back from the strip.
We're HET fans, ourselves and don't really see the 'run into the ground' thing...but I appreciate that no everyone likes them.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
