Hopefully this looks like a good itinerary, don't want to make too many plans as it's out first time and want to do lots of exploring. If we have time would ideally like to hire a car and drive to death valley/valley of fire & red rock, but just depends.
Thoughts anyone?
If you hire a car head up to Mt Charleston...the scenery is so surreal...Its just like Lapland....was snowing up there the other week...some fabulous properties .....amazing that its only about an hour from the strip[/QUOTE]
Thank you, may well do this. Apart from the stunning views, is there much to do up there?0 -

Here is a link to their blog that lists the matches they are showing. Another part of the site will tell you if they are free or not.
Thanks for the that, the site doesn't go up to the cup final, hopefully it's because it's too early rather than because they are not showing it. Will check again next week!0 -
October , NovemberCloudy, they will definitely be showing it. It's one of the main soccer(Football) bars in Vegas.0

Theres a lodge up there were you can eat ...overlooks the mountains..also gift shop.We just wandered around looking at the properties and having snowball fights..lol...Also helped a mother and son push out their 4x4 which neither of them knew how to drive properly,it was loaded up with furniture it was only after they went that we thought they were probably doing a moonlight flit as they were trying to cover their car tyre tracks...very strange...
Woman in shop was saying they can have upto 35 ft of snow in winter doesnt really clear till June time0 -
MayGlad you got the Love tickets booked. See, it wasn't such a pain after all. You could have called the box office at the Mirage, but I called Concierge for Girls' Night tickets at the MGM.
Itinerary sounds good and not too planned. There is a lot to see if it's your first time.
Can't remember where you are staying or when you are going?
You should be able to pick up your Love tickets at any MGM hotel, not just the Mirage, so you can pick them up from the MG box office or Concierge if you are staying there.
** Edit - as for the football, we have seen the Champion's League at the sportsbooks at MGM and Paris. Now they have HUGE screens. As pebbles has said, the Crown and Anchor will be showing it, but they charge a $20 entrance fee and they are off strip so you will have a taxi fare of maybe $20 each way.
I would just ask at the sportsbook a day or so before hand, but they are more than likely to be on as it's 7am Vegas time if it's a 3pm kick off and there isn't any US sport to show live at that time.0 -

£590
Cannot believe they add a further £30 if there are 2 of you.
It may be there are not many seats left (and only one at the cheaper price). all airlines work on the same principle, fewer seats left, higher the prices.
At those prices I would def be looking at the non direct flights and saving the money, lots on here prefer a stop on the way0 -
another option for football is NYNY - i've watched Champions League (Liverpool v. Chelsea) there and they had it playing on every TV (ie. even those over the tables like roulette & BJ), but also had it showing in the sportsbook0

SeptemberHi Lorraine,
I stayed at the Monte Carlo last year for three nights and found it okay though I admit it did seem a little bit dated compared to some of the other hotels, the staff I had dealsings with were really great and now that the building work is all finished next door I would go back in a heartbeat for the right price. I also think that the tram between itself and the Bellagio has been re-instated again.:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
