    For concerts try here:-

As for Peep Show, there are no plans to close it, but shows in Vegas can close at the drop of a hat.

I use a photocopy of my passport as ID and it was only been refused twice in 10 trips. Once was Caesars check in and the other was Harrah's Players Club at Harrah's, but it was been accepted at other HET properties.

This is for using my credit card and cashing TC's.

    Trets,

The Id I am talking about and I think this is what gav meant was pit bosses checking id, as in checking for the 21+ all LV casinos signed up in January for this to be the accepted norm for any visitors outside the US, this is probably because they only have 2 minutes to check where as your lady in the players club has more time to check, and perhaps you may look over 21+

in the same meeting they asked if someone had a players card and a drivers licence would it be accepted and it was a no.

It is all strange but they do not want to be part of a sting!

As you said with the passport internal us have a drivers licence or sum type of medi id where as outside they have a passport,

So trets when are you going to be heading back?

I must be one of the few who doesnt mind carrying my passport around with me. I dont have any other photo ID. I usually carry it in the pocket of my jeans/shorts, it is getting a bit bent but its not a problem. I may think different if I lose it tho:eek:

I actually had mine stolen the day before returning to England once. The biggest problem was that it is a U.S. one and i would have had trouble getting back into the country. I went to the VS desk first thing in the morning, (after reporting to the police) and they phoned up immigration at Gatwick (remember this was probably 3am U.K. time) I had a chat with them on the phone and they just asked me a few questions about my status, and then gave me a reference number to quote on my return. they told VS that I could travel without a passport, how good is that!!
The immigration officer said that the overriding thing in my advantage was that i had reported it to the police and got a crime report, so make sure you do that in Vegas if you lose or have yours stolen
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

having to carry your passport around with you is going to suck!! the chances of loosing it or stolen , esp. if u have had a few drinks or decided you wanna go on some of the rides etc.

you should be able to pay a bit and buy an accepted photo id from your hotel or something!

New poster but hoping one of you could help.

I'm off to Vegas in the summer with my girlfriend and have a couple of quick questions:

Has anyone eaten at Mon Ami Gabi? Would you recommend it as from tripadvisor it sounds perfect for a special occassion with the patios having great views of the fountains.

Secondly, do people know whether there are good jewellers in Vegas, in particular for engagement rings. As a comparison we don't live too far from Birmingham which seems to be always recommended for this so I don't know how the two places would compare.

    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
