goodness me! im in such a quandry!

really loving the look of wynn then some1 suggested encore and it just looks amazing!

price for 4 nights for 2 adults encore resort king room £327.68 (13th to 17th nov) - this is through travel republic and they have said it does include the tax!

or do i just save a few pounds and book the same at wynn in resort king for £307.57?

alos any1 used crown currency - the rate for usd is 1.6 until 23rd april - but delivery is july. just wondering how safe my money would be? i would be ordering on a credit card around £500 worth of usd.

and i wish someone would just make the decision for me about the hotel! the other people i am travelling with have left it all up to me! under pressure lol!

Wynn opened in April 2005. Encore opened December 2008 so is much newer.

I have used Crown Currency for years without problems, but it is a gamble as there is no protection for your money.

You can't order currency from CCE on a credit card. It has to be bank transfer or a cheque.

Just as well really as you would be liable for extortionate interest on a CC as it is treated as a cash advance.

I was going to post the same as Luci about not using a credit card, I have used them for the first time this year expecting delivery in 2 weeks time (ordered months ago).

Are you sure you were looking at dollars for 1.6, I have been checking almost daily for a month and havent seen it higher than 1.57 (today)

As for the hotel only you and your travle companions can make the decision....You will not be disappointed with MGM and Wynn/Encore (either or)

    Hi all,
Thanks for everyone for posting all your info. I check the site every day & have found the info very valuable. We travel to Vegas on 6th May & we're so looking forward to it. I would like to ask, can you use normal debit card in the ATM's. I would like to do this instead of taking all cash. Is using the tills an expensive way to use our hard earned money?
Thanks. MGM here we come :O) :j

Hooters..not the best place admitadly but for a cheap break??

    £19 per night
    • USD$100 FREE promotional slot play
    • Two coupons for 10 free chicken wings at the world's largest Hooters Restaurant (USD$10 value)
    • Two tickets to one of five on-site shows (USD$30 value)
    • Two drinks per stay to redeem at one of the nightly poolside receptions (USD$20 value)
Cant post a link but was found on travel zoo

Sorry if this has been posted already:)

The slot play is on promotional machines - it's not credit to use in the normal machines. Very, very few people win anything at all on the promo machines. I only mention it as it has almost no actual value in case anyone is factoring in $100 value against the cost of the hotel booking. Show ticket value may need consideration too if you can easily get 2-for-1 vouchers or reduced price tickets elsewhere.

Haven't looked at the travelzoo link - but the offer is available on Hooters website here:

Yes, you can use normal debit cards in the ATMs...but depending on which bank/account you have it may be somewhat scary in terms of fees.

I can think of no case where we would opt to save £20 and go for Wynn over Encore...that's £5/night. I have absolutely nothing against Wynn, but the Encore rooms are way more than £5/night better IMHO. Yes, it's a slightly further walk to get to the strip (maybe 5 mins) but that's the only downside I can see. Also not sure if it will be an issue in Nov anyway, but Encore guests can use the Encore pool and the Wynn pool. Wynn guests can only use the Wynn pool.
