    A couple of questions;

I am going to Vegas in July for my honeymoon. Me and the missus would like to know if it is best to book excursions from home before we travel or wait until we arrive in Vegas? For example, the canyon trip we would like to do is the helicoptor trip that lands at the foot of the canyon from where you catch a boat for a short trip up the river. Is this a trip best left to booking when we get there?
Also, there are a number of shows we would like to see, but the figures we've been qouted seem steep. To see the Circ du soliel (sp) production of the Beatles "Love" or The Jersey Boys are priced at $150 per ticket.

    Thanks

Personally, Id book exactly the Canyon trip you want beforehand ie now, and the shows buy from tix4 on the morning you want to go......or the day after if its sold out.

We got good Jersey Bois tickets on the day for $100 from tix4.

Papillion normally have good deals on for Canyon helicopter tours - keep an eye on Travelzoo and SmarterVegas for those codes. I'd agree that booking those early is a good idea as you won't get them any cheaper in person unless you're very lucky.

Show choice will dictate your buying strategy. Remember that most Vegas showrooms don't have a bad seat in the place but you won't get the cheaper tickets if you pitch up to the box office a couple of days (or even weeks) before. Check out Travelzoo and Smarter Vegas for tickets. You should have a range of $65-$102 for Jersey Boys (worst to best - best being the 40% Travelzoo offer that recurs every month). last year they also had Cirque shows on Buy1 Get1 Free which was a proper winner. Keep an eye on Mirage as well as they could follow the TI lead and give away show tickets linked to a stay in the hotel.

    Cheers,

    Billy

I'm starting to get excited again for our Vegas trip. It's looking like I can get home from Spain tomorrow, so should be OK for Vegas in 13 days time.

Cracking deal on at the moment with TI - I believe the rooms are non-refundable which may be the only drawback but I'm properly tempted - even though we've seen Mystere already. I'll use Luci's excellent template:

TI from $79, 2 x Mystere Tickets and 2 Buffet Dinners included

    Package Details:
Stay in the center of The Strip at Treasure Island resort for $79.95 per night and receive two tickets to "Mystere" by Cirque du Soleil. Guests will also receive two complimentary buffet dinners per stay.

This package saves $150 during the following dates:
    • $79.95: May 31; June 1; July 12-14; Aug. 22-26, 29-31
    • $89.95: May 26-27; June 2, 14-17, 21-21, 28-30; July 1, 6-8, 11, 15, 26-29; Aug. 1-5, 8-12, 15-19
    • All other dates are discounted 10% and include the "Mystere" tickets and buffets per stay.
Also available: Friday and Saturday nights are discounted and include the "Mystere" tickets with a three-night minimum stay.

    Code: MYTISB

Plus $22.40 a night resort fee, still looks a good deal though

really loving the look of wynn then some1 suggested encore and it just looks amazing!

price for 4 nights for 2 adults encore resort king room £327.68 (13th to 17th nov) - this is through travel republic and they have said it does include the tax!

or do i just save a few pounds and book the same at wynn in resort king for £307.57?

alos any1 used crown currency - the rate for usd is 1.6 until 23rd april - but delivery is july. just wondering how safe my money would be? i would be ordering on a credit card around £500 worth of usd.

and i wish someone would just make the decision for me about the hotel! the other people i am travelling with have left it all up to me! under pressure lol!
