thanks to all the ppl who have replied! think i will go with encore! my main concern is that everything at the hotel will be very expensive - but i suppose there will be 101 other places that will be less expensive for food, drink etc lol!

the rate with crown currency is 1.6001 and is only valid until 2:30pm on 23rd april for delivery between 13th and 21st july.

i got the rate through on an email - dont think you can order on online only over the phone. the number on the email is 0800 612 7273

thanks for the info re paying by cc - i just assumed it would be accepted - will maybe just take the money out of savings cuz that rate seems super compared to every where else!

sorry for being a pain in the but! maybe it s my age (23) lol!!! the other travellers have left most of the organising in my 'capable' hands so just dont want them to be disappointed with my choices! though by the sounds of things they should be over the moon!

Don't worry about everything at the Encore being expensive. You don't have to spend a penny there if you don't want to as there are dozens of other places willing to take your cash.

Look at ferf's video of the Encore room a couple of pages back and you will see what you are letting yourself in for. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Just like sleeping on a cloud.

We had dinner at Switch at the Encore on the Taste of Wynn Prix Fixe deal, but only because it was my birthday. Apart from that I think the only expenditure was tipping for drinks while playing the slots.

I too got that email with $1.60, but didn't pay any attention as we had already ordered and received our currency.

One tip. They deliver by Royal Mail Special Delivery. If you are not normally at home during the week when they would be delivering, arrange for delivery for a Monday and it will more than likely be delivered on the previous Saturday.

alos any1 used crown currency - the rate for usd is 1.6 until 23rd april - but delivery is july. just wondering how safe my money would be? i would be ordering on a credit card around £500 worth of usd.

I thought you had to pay by bank transfer or cheque?

If you can pay by cc, I'm not positive, but I think your cc company may consider that a cash advance and charge the relevant fees/interest rate...worth double checking at least.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

ferf i think luci mentioned that you cant pay by cc - only cheque or bank transfer - my bad!

im not sure whether ive asked this before or not, but just wondering if any1 knows good sites to check tour dates for r&b/rap/hip hop stars who will be playing in vegas?

i found beyonce was there last december at wynn apparently, but cant seem to find anything for this year. maybe no one on her likes that kind music - i like most music esp garth brooks but heres no way my oh would go see him - plus the fact that he is there july/august anyways which is too early for us.

i have signed up to the us ticketmaster but havent heard a peep from them yet!

also peep show with holly madison - any idea if this will still be running in november or how could i go about finding this out?

    thanks again guys x

I seem to remember reading somewhere that a lot of places dont like to accept driving licenses as ID anymore. Is this right? Or am i just imagining?

Ive got a full license and my girlfriend has a provisional. Will be there in about 7 weeks and dont want to have to carry our passports with us all week!

    Gav,

Id will only be sanctioned with a passport, casino's were having difficulty with all the different driving licences and not knowing how to spot a fake, this is the same for all lv casinos
Sorry but it it a carry the passport situation, casino's changed their policy mid january.

    Have a good trip

Yes total and utter pain, and I have seen the people being rejected because of the id situation.
Get a good case for your passport to protect it!,
