New poster but hoping one of you could help.

I'm off to Vegas in the summer with my girlfriend and have a couple of quick questions:

Has anyone eaten at Mon Ami Gabi? Would you recommend it as from tripadvisor it sounds perfect for a special occassion with the patios having great views of the fountains.

Secondly, do people know whether there are good jewellers in Vegas, in particular for engagement rings. As a comparison we don't live too far from Birmingham which seems to be always recommended for this so I don't know how the two places would compare.

    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

mon ami gabi is fantastic, amazing place wait for patio seat..well worth it

I am off to California/Arizona/Nevada in June and we took the plunge and bought our currency over the last week or so to lock in a 1.5:1.

I was a little disappointed to get nearly all of it in $100 cheques or notes. Any advice on using these over there, as trying to pay for stuff with £50 notes over here isn't exactly easy sometimes..

you will be fine you can always ask casino changes to change your money to lower if you need it

Don't worry about everything at the Encore being expensive. You don't have to spend a penny there if you don't want to as there are dozens of other places willing to take your cash.

Look at ferf's video of the Encore room a couple of pages back and you will see what you are letting yourself in for. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Just like sleeping on a cloud.

We had dinner at Switch at the Encore on the Taste of Wynn Prix Fixe deal, but only because it was my birthday. Apart from that I think the only expenditure was tipping for drinks while playing the slots.

I too got that email with $1.60, but didn't pay any attention as we had already ordered and received our currency.

One tip. They deliver by Royal Mail Special Delivery. If you are not normally at home during the week when they would be delivering, arrange for delivery for a Monday and it will more than likely be delivered on the previous Saturday.

luci what did you think of switch?
i thought the concept was good but was essentially over cheesy.. food was ok, but my gf loved the place!! keeps going on about it

Delighted for you! When do you go?

I keep checking these offers I post, but they are always dearer than the bookings I already have.

MY CSS is $389 for 4 nights inc Fri and Sat. On the Twitter offer it would be

    5/6 $93.25 5/7 $279.99
    5/8 $259.99 5/9 $152.25

    SubTotal: $785.48
