Aprilwhats people thoughts on continential airlines?? on them from heathrow in aug. flights were DEAD cheap so hopeing we wont loose out on a nice flight.
125 more work days to go!!!!!!!!:j
Flew with continental at Christmas to New York then onto Vegas, was absolutely fine, seat back entertainment, on time, for the price it was perfect, well worth the savings you get!0 -

its me again! just booked the mgm for the first 3 night of my trip - paid $224 for 3 nights and that inc ludes tax and was booked on the crazy 8 deal
anyway i quite fancy the wynn for the remaining 4 nights and have found it for £308.21 through travel supermarket which then put me through to travel republic. does any1 know if there is a resort fee? and i am assuming that figure doesnt include the 12% tax?
it just seemed like a great price and i would be keen to book it. the only downside is that it isnt full refundable!
any thoughts on this price?
Travelrepublic prices include the room tax, and there is no resort fee at Wynn/Encore
I think you can also get Encore for @ £333 for your dates0 -
October , NovemberPenny thanks for that. Is encore a lot netter than wynn? I thought that price was fab but il check that city and dhow place. Won't be able to book
until 2moro evening so no panic just yet lol x
just city and show and it's £378 for the same room and dates. Plus it requires full payment where as travel republic only need a deposit atm0 -
Aprilwe prefer Encore to Wynn...nothing at all wrong with Wynn, it's a lovely property with very nice rooms and extremely comfy beds...but Encore is that much nicer we think...some don't like it because it's a bit further north than Wynn but it didn't really bother us. Encore is an all-suite hotel.
Video of our room here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPUgZWRtwnM
Not really a true suite with a completely separate bedroom, but close enough for us!
I do want to try Palazzo and/or Venetian sometime to have a point of comparison as I know some here would choose them over Wynn/Encore...one day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I like both Wynn/Encore, but if I had to choose, would pick Encore as its newer and the rooms have more of a "suite" feel rather than just a room.
Booking with Travelrepublic you can choose to pay a deposit, and the balance in August0 -
Book it
I went last year with KLM all be it for about £350, those prices have long gone tho, We didnt have seat back IFE so I took a book that I had just started, and finished it just before landing, the time flew:D by.
Thanks everyone for the replies, I was braced for the "You're an idiot not booking them for that price, book them now!"
Yep, I know I'm risk taking a huge gamble not booking the AA flights for £415 (which I've just checked and are still available) and I know I won't get them for that price again, regardless of the airline. I guess in today's day and age I figure that I should be able to expect decent in-flight entertainment on a trans-Atlantic flight. After all, I thought the Virgin Gatwick-Vegas 747 was perfectly fine (ok, not as good as the new Airbus plane plane on the Heathrow - LA route), but everyone else seems to be slating it.
I think I'll check again with my girlfriend when she's back tomorrow and see what she's thinks.
P.s. Good luck to everyone who's scheduled to be flying in the next few days, I really feel for you.0 -
