hi, i was wondering if anyone has ever been to the Desert Classic Darts in Las Vegas, and if so if they had any tips / advice on booking,
this holiday is very much in the "thinking about it" stage, actually it only came into my head today, (im only home from Florida a week!!) and it would be 2011 when i plan to go,
thanks in advance,0 -
October , NovemberWe have flown MAN-PHL-LAS the last few times we've been to Vegas. All have had seat back TV on the transatlantic leg, but not all on the cross country leg. We think they are just fine, and PHL is pretty easy to navigate.0

Been once Piglet. It was in 2007 I think at the MGM Grand but the atmosphere lacked a certain something without all the drunkenness of the British crowds with it being so early to kick off (11am). It's been held at Mandalay Bay the last couple of years and them same problems beset it so it ends up being pretty dull. The tickets are cheap and freely available from the events box office so no need to purchase in advance - I heard stories of people being given free tickets in 2008 so that Sky wouldn't look stupid broadcasting the darts from a quiet, empty room.

Might need to up my credit card limit, as right now we have to pay for hotels etc and claim back later..... Just want to get home

done the leg to Philly from Manchester . yes: old planeyes: poor IFE
.... BUT seats were comfy IMO , and overall the flight was fine by us.
give us a good seat and we are happy . we had 2 on their own, which we value much more than IFE ( i have a nearly full I Pod for such situations ) or other gimmicks like free drinks ( usually driving at the other end so no use to me ) .
your right to consider doing this way ... i mean cost + time + hassle of getting down to London is more than having to change planes and stretch your legs for a couple of hours IMO .
£415 for a AA flight :shocked::shocked::cheesy::laugh: ... i would be biting their hand off now NOW NOW !!!!.
crazy to be waiting for a price drop just because of IFE . treat yourself to a IPOD or a damm good book ( may i highly recommend " The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo " which i just finished ) and start looking forward to going back to Vegas . Who knows what this Iceland Thing will do to prices when it " blows over "Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
SeptemberGot to agree with trets. You are hoping that a good deal will come along when a cracker is available at the moment?!
I can't get my head around you being prepared to pay £45 extra for "maybe" getting IFE
BTW The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was a cracking film as well. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hi all,
-- I see that American Airlines have a sale on at the moment and you can get flights for approx £415 in September, which is great. However, I looked on Seat Guru and it appears that the AA Boeing planes that will be used from Manchester (via Chicago) don’t have in-seat entertainment in economy. Many thanks
Book it
I went last year with KLM all be it for about £350, those prices have long gone tho, We didnt have seat back IFE so I took a book that I had just started, and finished it just before landing, the time flew:D by.0 -
I did the Man to Philly route with US Airways a few years ago and the flight was great.
The IFE was on demand and you could pause rewind etc!
It was in 2007 though. Here's a picture from my seat of one of the "mature" members of staff.0 -
