Maycredit_crunch wrote: »final question of the night lol! we go in november, what is the weather normally like?! some ppl have said the pools open all yr round, and its still the weather for bikini wearing but im not so sure!
Early November has been quite warm by UK standards when we have been there, but chilly first thing in the morning and later in the evening. It would be much cooler later in the month.credit_crunch wrote: »
i thought i noticed somewhere on mse that the outdoor pools close for winter season and not all hotels have indoor pools! so if any1 can shed any light i would appreciate it!
Make that NONE of the hotels! I think there is one hotel with an indoor pool, but I can't remember the name at the moment.
We have found the pools to still be open early November, but some of the MGM ones close.0 -
October , Novembercredit_crunch wrote: »i have found mgm for the 10th to 13th november for £395.28 for 2 rooms for 4 adults in total. i have found this through netflights. does anyone know if there will be resort fees etc? from what i remember mgm dont have resort fees just yet but netflights wont let me go anything without putting all passenger info in. the room is gradn tower double- any1 stayed in one before? and is there much chance of a upgrade? if so what room would you suggest upgrading to?
Standard rates on the MGM's own website come out at $705.54 inc taxes for 2 rooms, 2 adults per room for 3 nights. Using an exchange rate of $1.5 to £1 as a rough guide that's approx £470 all in BUT if you use one of the discount codes people have posted on here you should get it a lot cheaper - I used MGM035 (Play Crazy 8's deal) to check for you just because I had it to hand, and it drops the price down to $448.00 total for the 3 nights = just under £300 including some extras like 2 for 1 buffet etc. The Friday (12th) bumps the price up a bit at $90 per room, but your other 2 nights would only be $55 per room per night + taxes.
Oh, and that's a fully refundable offer - you would just pay the first night upfront as a deposit and can cancel (I think it's up to 48 hours before your stay) if you find any better deals in the meantime.
I haven't seen any offers for the Wynn going as far as November so can't help you with that bit sorry but hope the above helps a bit.0 -
MayYou may be surprised-we did the sightseeing plane then road to the Canyon as my friend is a dreadful flyer and decided nothing would get her on a helicoptor. Unfortunately our Hummer got a flat just as we were leaving the Canyon and no-one could find the padlock key for the spare :rotfl:
Sooo they decided to fly us out by helicoptor -she went green but we had no choice.........and she LOVED it -said it was nothing like a plane and was fun. So you never know til you try it.
Thanks for that....great advice.....i'll never know till i try it will I0 -
MayNo-one pays the standard rates on the MGM website (that I know of). There are always promo codes about and the going rate seems to be $55/night and more at weekends.
We are paying $389 (£259) for 4 nights in a Celebrity Spa Suite and it would only have been $269 (£179) for a Grand Tower room. That includes a Friday and Saturday night.
No way would I pay £200 for 3 nights in a Grand Tower room, especially if only one of those night was a weekend night.
Wynn is a bit trickier to get a a promo for, but $129/night would be a good rate.0 -

Have been to Vegas a few times now, and I can still stand and watch the Bellagio water show for several performances in a row... fantastic.
Thanks for posting that Matt. Time to Say Goodbye is hands-down my favourite fountains piece.0 -

Snap!
The Orleans is a great budget hotel IMO.
I booked 9 of our 14 nights in July there the other night (Expedia deal with 10% discount code through Quidco) - worked out £26 per night in total.
Allows us to stay 5 nights at the Encore for our wedding at the Wynn - nice pressie to us both. That was actually a major bargain - £420 for 5 nights in peak July through Atlaschoice. I would recommend this website bigtime - its the cheapest rate I have EVER seen for Wynn/Encore for that time of year. Saving us at least £350.
It has a shuttle from the hotel to Bills on the Strip so its easy to get around.
This new bus with routes from airport to Encore could be a complete gem - will have to look into this a bit more - if anyone is out there at mo and uses it can you report back to us?

MayWhere is the best place to be to watch this?
From the pavement in front of the Bellagio. Get there about 10 mins before the fountains start to get a good spot.
A good and different view is to walk up the path towards the Bellagio at the south end.
You can also view them at night from the top of the Eiffel Tower across the road.0 -
Hey guys, just want to thank people for posting good offers and just updates on their Vegas trips.
I am going out on the 15th Sep for a week with 5 other mates. This will be my 2nd time in Vegas and i cant wait.
We used the crazy 8's offer for the MGM so its worked out about £200 per person. The cheapest / most decent flight from Manchester was a 15hour duration 1 stop for £499.97 which i didnt think was too bad considering most of the offers.
We are thinking about renting a car when we are over there and maybe making a possible trip to LA, anyone advise me on if youve done this before?
Anyway guys cheers for all the info.
Regards
Mark0
