    Oh I don't know......

I stayed in a deluxe room last week for the first time (had planned to upgrade to a Go room but they were sold out ) Room was large, bright and clean-bathroom was small and bed wasn't all that -but not so bad I went rushing down to beg for an upgrade, Certainly not dire-in fact reasonable for the money -it's not the Wynn but then you aren't paying Wynn prices.
I asked for a room near the elevator-got the one right by it on the 25th floor-no noise at all and the view was of the pool area.

I agree the buffet at the Flamingo isn't worth it for the food-fab view if you can get a window table but not worth the money food is very blah-not awful just boring, little choice . The burger place is nothing special either. Went once-decided I'd rather go to Bills the next night.

Bill's I really don't fancy for a weekend stay seen some real skanks in there late at weekends-don't really want to have to find my way past them to get to my room.

The Flamingo's big plus is the location and as for the casino-I can't comment on table games but for slots -for me-were very loose -and the CWs frequent-so I was happy.

I've stayed in a Go room three times now and think they are reasonable value for money but as I can get deluxe comped for my next trip-I'll book the deluxe and attempt to upgrade for payment at checkin-it wouldn't be the end of the world to be in a deluxe room if I can't or if they want too much though.

    Don't be silly I wouldn't blame you!

"Inclusions are per package, per stay and have no cash value. Guests will charge to the room and will be credited upon check-out. Guests must place a deposit on their reservation at check-in to take advantage of these inclusions."

So they are asking for a deposit at check-in because they are including these offers?! Bit harsh isn't it?

Normally you have to leave a deposit per night in order to have the option to charge anything to to the room...so since this promo requires you to charge to the room, a deposit will be required. They don't have different levels of charging to the room - it's either you can or cannot.

    ****ALERT****

    STRIPBURGER IS OPEN.

    repeat

    STRIPBURGER IS OPEN.

I asked if they were closing and was told no - only Cafe Ba Ba Reeba changed to the taco place - Stripburger is still staying. Sorry for the bad info earlier (though I think I linked a post on TA - so I will point to them for the bad info :)) Shame as we had a $10 restaurant.com voucher I didn't bother to print out which will expire before we go again. Will offer it up here when we get home.

as for the Ace - me being little miss 'I refuse to take a bus in Vegas' took a bus in Vegas last night. I still refuse to take the Deuce, but the Ace was brilliant - we went downtown about 5 last night - were only about 5 of us on the thing, stopped maybe twice and dropped us off right at Fremont Street just steps from the canopy. On the way back we had just missed one and another pulled up so again almost empty, and relatively quick. We did get caught up in traffic near the FSM stop where we were getting off, but would have had the same thing in a taxi or car. I could see using it to get around a day here or there - I probably wouldn't give up the rental car, though trips like this one we have really barely used it so rather silly to have it.

Also - if anyone else bought the Groupon for the Cupcake Lane Bakery - they are no longer in the location on the coupon - there's a sign in the window about the Landlord retaking the premises (or similar - Jamie read the note, not me) and that they are relocating to a new location which I cannot remember. So may be worth calling or checking their website before heading out.
