The coupon I used when booking online was LVA-1

We did the "grand celebration" tour which we thought was good value for a 30-40 minute flight out, and 30-40 minutes back again including landing, lunch, champagne, and hotel pick up / return.

We have paid silly money in other parts of the world just for 10-15 minute helicopter flights so the cost here was acceptable :)

    http://www.papillon.com/popris/show_package.aspx?package_id=19&lang=en-US

    ($260 USD minus $26 = $234 each)

Other companies also add on $40 fuel surcharges at the airport, Papillon don't, what you see online is what you pay!

I know a lot of people say the heli tours only go to the west rim, which is not the "proper" canyon, but the south rim is just too far for a half day or even full day trip (it takes 5 hours to drive there).... west rim is still spectacular.

If you would like I can put some photos/video online if your unsure!!

Thank you for your feedback! And of course, photos and videos are more than welcome :) 7 days! woo

Just looking at the new ACE bus thing, this could be a good alternative to hiring a car. It runs 24 hours and you can get a bus from the airport for $2 to the south strip transport office which takes about 10 minutes. From there it services a lot of the hotels on the strip using the ACE and then $2 to your hotel. If we were not staying off strip this time it might have been a consideration, especially as there is a station at Wynn/Encoe
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I believe there are only 3 stops on each side of the strip so you could be dropped a long way from your hotel.

I think the stops northbound are MGM, Paris and Wynn/Encore. Not sure about southbound, but I think one is at the Mirage.

I was thinking the same as we are on a budget this time (as usual) as we are staying at the Wynn first this could be an option. Do you have any more info on the airport to south strip terminal bus, ie how often. thanks

It's not so bad, you will be too busy enjoying the scenery to worry about heights... :)
