March4 seperate beds do you mean ? No -room with 2 double beds plus one rollaway (for which you'd be charged $30-$50 per night extra) most hotels won't give you two rollaways and if they do that charge is per extra person so a seperate room would often be more economic.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

JuneHi all,
Looking for some tips and advice if possible.
Been to Vegas a few times and never really looked how to do it on the cheap but am looking at planning a stag do there for around Mar/Apr/May 2011 and want to get on to this early to ensure I get the best deal for everybody.
All leaving from Leeds so Manchester is probably best airport for it and would be looking to stay on the strip centrally so maybe Flamingo would be one of the cheaper ones.
15-20 people going.
Are the flights cheaper if you book as soon as they are released? If so does anyone know when they are released?
Any airports locally that offer cheaper airlines etc?
Is March cheaper than May etc?
Where do you think the best place to book is?
Any benefit from a group booking?
Id like to be able to say to everybody if you are coming it will be XXX pounds so get saving!
Any tips and general advice would be greatly appreciated...
Virgin rumoured to be doing 2 direct flights a week from Manchester in 20110 -

Just back from our trip to Vegas... had a fantastic time.
First half of the trip was very very quiet (tuesday, wednesday, thursday) and then the place really filled up on friday/sat/sunday bank holiday weekend!
Used the $20 trick on check in to Palazzo to get a suite on the 32nd floor strip view... awsome!
Also used a 10% discount code floating around the net to do a heli tour with Papillon out to canyon (with landing and champagne lunch) worked out $240 each, much cheaper than the other companies and Papillon are great (I have personally used them before).

Glad you had a fantastic time! Just wandered if this code still exisited? We know we want to do the Canyon this time, we're just not sure whether to book online before or search out coupons whilst we are there...Comping since oct 09' === October wins : Vodkat Cocktail Kit, £50 bonkers!, Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Brit Chicks Merchandise
November wins : Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Ocean's 13 DVD, Monsters Vs Aleins DVD, £5 Voucher0 -
The coupon I used when booking online was LVA-1
We did the "grand celebration" tour which we thought was good value for a 30-40 minute flight out, and 30-40 minutes back again including landing, lunch, champagne, and hotel pick up / return.
We have paid silly money in other parts of the world just for 10-15 minute helicopter flights so the cost here was acceptable

($260 USD minus $26 = $234 each)
Other companies also add on $40 fuel surcharges at the airport, Papillon don't, what you see online is what you pay!
I know a lot of people say the heli tours only go to the west rim, which is not the "proper" canyon, but the south rim is just too far for a half day or even full day trip (it takes 5 hours to drive there).... west rim is still spectacular.
If you would like I can put some photos/video online if your unsure!!The Head Honcho (does very little work)0 -
Another tip is to book the heli tour earlier in your stay rather than towards the end, this way if its cancelled for any reason you still have time to fit it in... The wind was high for a couple of days last week and stopped some of the helicopter flights from going out (40-50 mph gusts). The Head Honcho (does very little work)0
