Are the Dodgers playing at Cashman fields? If so have you checked the Vegas51s website. It may be difficult to get tickets though as from memory CF only holds about 10000 whereas the Dodgers play in front of 40000 plus

    edit
Just checked the website http://lasvegas.51s.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100120&content_id=7944654&vkey=news_t400&fext=.jsp&sid=t400 and the individual game tckts are not on sale yet but last time they played there it was a sellout 10271.

    Edit 2

You can buy weekend package for the fri game Chicago v Chicago and the Dodgers sat game by calling the box office (702) 798-7825

I think you got the days/dates slightly wrong. The Dodgers play on a Wednesday and as the Cactus League is still going on in Arizona it will be a split squad game. The Chicago game is mid March? (did I miss the dodgers playing their mid March??)

also, given that the first game of the regular season is the next day you are very very unlikely to see anyone of note. Probably only a few who have been brought up from the 51's, so tickets should be easy to come by.

We did end up booking Paris after our near heart attack after seeing the fight announced. Both Paris and Bally's were comped so that wasn't an issue, but we decided since our last 3 nights are at Encore, it's a good time to risk Paris since whatever happens we'll have a great room for our last few nights. We're arriving on a Friday night, later than normal...planning to ask for an upgrade to a P room but by that point I'm pretty sure we'll take what they give us and be glad for it. :)

Sounds like several of us are going to be in town for Easter this year. :)

you guys should organise a meet up .:beer::beer:

i'll be thinking about you guys having fun , not so bad though as we are in Spain in Mrs Trets boss's villa . :A
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

When I click on the $99 link, the next page says 'Suite Rates starting at $119'. What am I doing wrong ?

EDIT: Bit more success, selected '21 day advance' rate and it's $897 for 7 nights all in - I've currently got the Wynn for $854, which would you go for ?
You have to go right down to the bottom of the page where it says "book now" do not click on the picture at the top of the page.
Also just noticed that you get a bottle of wine or champagne free
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

OK, we booked it, just gives us more time to decide. I really don't know which way to go, Encore is a cracking place, The Platinum on the strip would be no contest though. It is a fully contained suite (and 250ft. bigger than an Encore resort room) with all the things that other hotels charge extra for. So if you added another $12-$14 a day for Wifi and gym, it is even a greater saving. We have stayed there twice and both times got upgraded to a Princess suite (1,100 sq. ft) without asking

From what I've read, looks like a split squad on the same date- 31st March. Half team playing San Fran, half playing Cin at Las Vegas and whole team returning to Dodgers stadium for game on 1st April......?

    Edit - oh, I'm agreeing :D

Just booked a room too, many thanks for the link. As you say, $776 for a week, including free gym & wifi is a really great deal. Will now consult the wife and see which one she prefers - not worth a week of grief if I choose the wrong one !

    Cracking deal from The Platinum
945 sq. ft. 1 bedroom suite $99 including weekends!!!
    Click me!!!

This to me is one of the top 3 or 4 hotels that we have stayed at in Vegas. Easily as good as the rooms in The Signature, bigger as well because the basic room is a 1 bed suite. Service is first class. All non smoking, gorgeous pool on the 4th floor, no casino, free WiFi,Gym, no resort fees.
I was seriously tempted to cancel my Encore booking for just over $1,000 and take this at $790. the only drawback is that it is off strip (7 minutes to Ballys walking) and it can be a pig to get out of when you have a car as you have to go south on Flamingo for about 1/2 mile before you can turn back towards the strip.
But if you do take up the offer you are only 30 second walk away from the EI BBQ!!!!!!!!!!
Still don't know though, I might book it anyway and give us time to decide

Just clicked on the 21 day adv purchase and it says it is "21 day advance purchase 100% pre-paid/non-refundable"

Couldn't find any £99 rates for the dates I tried.

Hey there where did you get those prices?

Cheapest I have found is £643 for 3 people, 2 rooms over 10 nights.

Having done research and talking to my friends our priorities are:

    1) On the strip.
    2) No Resort fees
    3) Must have a pool/ jacuzzi
    4) Ideally have a nightclub attached.

We aren't really bothered about the quality of the fit and finish of the rooms etc as long as they are clean.

Imperial Palace with the deluxe room upgrade for £1.99 looks about the best bet at the moment, though looking at some pictures from the outside it looks a dive but never mind, as its in the middle of the action.

We booked our flights with US Airways but I think we just fell lucky that they lowered the price for a couple of days, as they soon went up again. They are not direct flights though - we have to change at Philadelphia and Phoenix, which we don't mind. I think around £450-500 would be considered a good price for a direct flight.

We got the price for the Imperial Palace from their website, using the Hot Deals promo and the offer for the MGM Grand is one that had been posted on this thread.

Do as others have suggested and read the first page of this thread, as there is so much excellent information on there and keep a look out for the hotel offers to be posted. I'm sure the regular posters on here will be happy give you as much help as they can in answering any questions you may have.

I did the same thing, click on the little 'Book Now' button and it works OK (well did for me).

Yes I did click on the Book Now button. It was when I changed Select Rate to 21 Day Adv Purchase that it said it was non-refundable.
