i forgot to use mine in mix, wasnt sure as well if you could use it with the tasting menu

I'm sure you can (or could with the voucher I had) as I remember at the time looking at the tasting menu to decide if I wanted it.

Im still to add Wynn to my portfolio......but Im a bit underwhelmed by the photos on that site. Was expecting a bit more glamour that than.....was expecting at least one notch above Venetian/Signature, but didnt look that much more special.

We would still like to try Venetian one day - the one time an offer was good enough for us to try it out I hesitated and it was gone...we do like Encore quite a lot though but not having Venetian to compare it to leaves us a bit short in that respect.

I doubt we'll ever try Signature as we do like to spend a lot of time in the casino and seems like too much of a hassle from Signature.

Ha ha ha, I'm just catching up on the last few days. You know that you're going to have to try Paris :rotfl:

Anyway, ferf, you know it's going to bug you if you don't try it, so look for an offer and book a couple of nights.... :)

We did end up booking Paris after our near heart attack after seeing the fight announced. Both Paris and Bally's were comped so that wasn't an issue, but we decided since our last 3 nights are at Encore, it's a good time to risk Paris since whatever happens we'll have a great room for our last few nights. We're arriving on a Friday night, later than normal...planning to ask for an upgrade to a P room but by that point I'm pretty sure we'll take what they give us and be glad for it. :)

Sounds like several of us are going to be in town for Easter this year. :)

Yep, flights are coming out at around £450-500 per person return.

We want direct flights. That;s with Virgin Atlantic from Gatwick, so not much room for manouvre as you can see.

so let me summarise what you have said so i know i'm not making a mistake .

You have been offered a package of £700 each for 3 people staying at the Luxor . so total = £2100

You have priced up the flights and are getting £450 ( you say £450 to £500 each . so i'm going with the lowest .

3 people x £450 = £1350 so over the package you have £750 left for hotels to break even with Package deal ( 10 days stay ) .

at current exchange rates = $1150 ( approx)

now check the links on page 1 and see what sort of deal you can get for your dates now . might not be the one you end up taking , but booking a fall back at a price that suits somewhere that will be okay for your requirements is a good idea . Be sure the offer is refundable !!

do some leg work and searching and you have your answer .

if you are going to take the Virgin flights , don't forget to join the flying club to collect the Miles on any flight you might take and go through Quidco to book for 2% cashback

Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Glad you've booked for curiosity... It's honeymoon this time for us this time over easter, so we'll need to start thinking about some extra special things to do to make it feel a little different from our normal trip...... ideas on a postcard maybe..... we've 10 night to fill (mexico after Vegas too, I'll not want to come home!):)
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

Knowing what a sweet tooth you have you must try Lenotre next to the diamond lounge in Paris. Tracy says they make the best chocolate cakes ever. When we are staying at another hotel we have to go there first (they shut at about 10pm) pick up her pudding, take it back to our hotel for her to eat later, then go out again.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thank you. It is officially on the list. I trust Tracy implicitly on all things chocolate-related. :)

One other factor for booking Paris was our win/loss statements for 2009...based on MGM and HET figures combined, 70% of our losses between us were at Bally's. Now I know we gamble more at the casino associated with our hotel, but I would still not have expected the percentage to be quite that high. ;) Paris was one of the casinos we came out ahead over the year, though my husband's big win on one machine there sort of skews those results a bit.

    Cracking deal from The Platinum
945 sq. ft. 1 bedroom suite $99 including weekends!!!
    Click me!!!

This to me is one of the top 3 or 4 hotels that we have stayed at in Vegas. Easily as good as the rooms in The Signature, bigger as well because the basic room is a 1 bed suite. Service is first class. All non smoking, gorgeous pool on the 4th floor, no casino, free WiFi,Gym, no resort fees.
I was seriously tempted to cancel my Encore booking for just over $1,000 and take this at $790. the only drawback is that it is off strip (7 minutes to Ballys walking) and it can be a pig to get out of when you have a car as you have to go south on Flamingo for about 1/2 mile before you can turn back towards the strip.
But if you do take up the offer you are only 30 second walk away from the EI BBQ!!!!!!!!!!
Still don't know though, I might book it anyway and give us time to decide

I think you'll really enjoy Paris, we had a week there and couldn't fault it. Also seemed quite quick and easy to get back to the room, not massive like MGM (there's a handy little entrance door on the North side). The staff were quite friendly and check-in was quick.

Did ask for an upgrade but the lady was kind enough to advise that if we wanted a room with strip view, it would not be a Red Room (which we already had). As you know, the location is pretty much unbeatable. If I could get it at the right price, would definitely stay there again this time around.
