Hi there I've been waiting for my "footstool" and know I'll be disapointed, I did email CS and ask about it but reply was confusing to say the least.
Please could you let me know, how come you have "free" glass vase, did you ring CS and what did you say? Thanks very much.
(also still waiting for corkscrew)
I ordered a footstool and sofabed. When the sofabed arrived it was a coat hook (not a surprise there!), so I rang cs just to let them know. While I was onto them I mentioned I also had footstool en route, and should I assume that this would also turn out not to be furniture. Basically they said it wouldn't be furniture - but they didn't have a clue what it would be other than from home accessory section.
I was very pleasant to them on the phone - not being preachy here, but I don't go along with the minority who've ordered these items who are now badgering cs and demanding that they receive a sofa etc....!!! In my opinion, we all knew it was a long shot and for most of us it was a good laugh. I think, because I was pleasant and didn't give them a hard time, they refunded me both the sofabed and footstool cost and simply told me to keep whatever it was that arrived.
Hope that helps0 -

If they gave everyone who ordered in the sale a £5.00 credit or waived the charges in the end M&S would go into liquidation. I can see why some are saying it's unfair, perhaps those who managed to get refunds shouldn't have posted as its caused abit of upset
I agree that it would be difficult for M&S to give free delivery on all orders, but they usually give free delivery on orders over £30. Most of my orders (around 20 in total) are well over this amount, so I feel I should get free delivery. Also if they offered store collection for sale items then this wouldn't happen. It would cause delays etc in store, but they would clear their sale stock so much quicker as people would place more orders. The quicker they clear their sale stock the more money they make, so it makes sense really.0 -
