is anyone happy with their bank?

I would be happy with Halifax if not for the OD charges issue. I realise that this is my fault rather than theirs though. I am in the process of arranging to pay the bloody thing off once and for all and then no doubt I shall live in harmony with them once more with the help of good budgeting.
It would be nice if the banks (any bank) would actually try to help people who are already struggling with their banking debt rather than introduce fees that mean they will struggle ever to get out of it though.0 -
I'm with Abbey, have been for blimey (now tries to remember that far back), a young teen...it's a single account that was turned into a joint account and now back into a single account. Up until about 12 years ago, it was pretty dormant while we had accounts with Lloyds (where my first salary payments went in), TSB and finally the LloydsTSB version.
Abbey have been great, TSB were great until they merged with Lloyds and Lloyds were absolutely pants.
I must be one of the few who are happy with Abbey! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Your post was interesting, Barclays discussed your account with your parents. Please tell us more.
while back now, my sis and i both had bank accounts with barclays that we opened when we were kids, both weren't used and had low balances.
my parents visited branch to discuss their affairs with manager, manager looked up all the accounts at their address, they could see and were told that me and my sis had accounts and how much were in them.
not too interesting really, i closed my acc. with them straight away0
