OS Daily Thread - New Years Eve 2009

Well, the house is clean, the washing done, but not ironed, DS2 has been and put up the unit on the wall in the kitchen, he brought his 3 chidlren with him, we let them play in the garden to run off some of their pent up energy!!

We have just finished our supper, fish and chips with strawberry roll to follow. Cracked open a bottle of Bucks Fizz......we will be in bed well before midnight with our hot choccy (me) and malted milk (OH)we will read until the fireworks are over and can settle down to a (hopefully) peaceful nights sleep.

May well have a lie in tomorrow.........nowt to get up for!!!

To everyone who reads the daily, I wish you all a happy new year and all you what ever you wish for yourselves in 2010.

Just popping in to thank you for your kind words about my back, which is a lot better now, and to say a very Happy New Year to you all.

I hope that those for whom 2009 was a sad or anxious time have a much better year next year.

Can't wait for tomorrow's - think OH will be dismayed it didn't all come out while he was at work and now he has to watch TWO episodes!!!!!!

Just about to head to bed as I have been falling asleep on the couch for the past hour.....OH is slightly bothered that he seems to be having a nose bleed...think that it is only when he blows his nose, otherwise I will end up taking him the 6 miles to A & E on roads that are badly iced up....will read for a while to see what transpires.

Me again! Just about to put a CD on (any guesses:rotfl:) and have a glass of white.
Mark has gone to bed poor love is shattered. Since the bloodbath he has done everything round here. ALL the shopping; ALL the baking All the cat stuff and ALL the cooking. Guess he will be glad to get back to school for a rest.
I have lit the (very pretty) candles and will raise a glass to all of you-my dear friends and all of your families and friends.

Also want to send best wishes and many many thanks to Church Mouse & her DS's. I always think of them at this time of year particularly when London is so full of revelers. Your sons do an amazing job. I hope they have a good & safe night.
A good friend of mine went straight into the Met straight after graduation. Very brave lady.

I haven't read the thread yet ( sorry ) just rushed on to wish everyone a peaceful and happy 2010. This has been a hard year for many, and I pray you will find peace, healing and happiness in the New Year.
