Afternoon peeps
just popping one to wish everyone a Happy New Year !
I`ve not kept up properly for the last few days just bits and bats here and there, after Christmas i`ve mainly been at w*rk which has been a bit manic as we have lots of poorlies so we are dreadfully short staffed. One girl is really ill and has had 3 seperate ilnesses one after another so i really hope that she feels better soon poor thing.
I`m absolutely bushed as all my energy has been spent attempting to help sort out a few problems. I have my fingers crossed that the relationship of someone close to us will survive but it has been a tough time for all concerned and many tears have been shed. I`m really hoping that 2010 will be a much better year for everyone.
Sunny girl - ((((HUGS)))) for you and your family, thinking of you all.
Essex girl - Sorry to hear of your scare, hopefully everything will be fine from now on ((((HUGS)))) for you and yours too

I shall raise a glass to you all later and wish everyone all the best, see you all next year.

Pink_Winged - Glad you were able to have Christmas with all your chicks xx
Penny_Pincher - Hope you got on ok at hospital! Glad Christmas was nice.
It seems to have been a very difficult year for so many of us - may 2010 be better!
JackieO - Well done on getting to Bluewater on Tuesday. We tried to go yesterday; very long queue on the A2, then when we got through that, Bluewater was full of cars driving round and round the perimeter roads in hopeless search of a carpark without a long queue to get in! We were surprised it was quite that busy. So as we wanted a couple of bits from B & Q in Dartford we thought we'd go there instead, but again a long queue to get into the car park! In the end we went to Sainsbury's at Crayford, where I did manage to get a new frying pan at least. (I'd originally planned to look for one at Bluewater.)
I expect we will have Jools Holland on tonight - I'm not bothered but DH likes it, and I must admit he has bought some really good music by people he first heard of on "Later with Jools". I just wish Jools Holland didn't keep wanting everyone to shout "Hootenanny". A bit like when the kids used to yell "Crackerjack!" (showing my age there)
Toninght's dinner is lamb chops with spuds and veg (haven't decided which veg yet), and tomorrow's will be roast chicken followed by Christmas pud because DS loves it
Hoping and wishing and praying that 2010 will be as good as possible for all my friends on here xxxxx0 -

Morning Everyone
Peace now reigns at DG Towers, DS & GF returned back to the smoke at tea time yesterday, great to see them, but always chaotic:eek:, too many friends and relatives to see. They went back loaded with cheeses, so I did not eat them, and other groceries from the cupboards, they are putting a meal together for a few friends tonight at GF's parents home while they are out:rolleyes:. Their towels and bedding has been washed, hung out, and now on the airer/radiators. Needs to write my list of what I need to achieve in the next two weeks before departing for two months:eek:. The intention is not to buy anything but fresh fruit and veg between now and departing. Washday tea today (one of our favourites, cold meat, oven chips and peas. I have a joint of pork for tomorrow.
((Sunnygirl and family))
((Pooky and family))
Essexgirl, ((hugs)) to you and yours too, know how you are feeling when we had the false (luckily) scare with our DH a couple of years ago, when they thought at first he had had a stroke, but they found his Cholesterol was high, even though he eats no fat (his stomach cannot take it), we only have skimmed milk, etc., so they put him on tablets then.
Moiliere - sorry to hear about your back, let us know if you are free on the evening of the 18th Jan.
Pen-Pin Hope you managed to get home, and are feeling a little better.
Welcome newbies - jump in, we don't bite, well not hard anyway.
If I were BT I would be hiding now for when H-J gets hole of the :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
To everyone on here I hope that 2010 brings their hopes and dreams , I too wish you all peace love and joy for the New Year. To Cranky& George & Smokybabe & fam, I hope you can find some peace and love , and make some new dreams.
Take care DG
