:santa2:Hello!
Just popped in to wish you all a happy and healthy 2010 and to add my (((hugs))) and prayers as well.
A couple of our dear friends are having major health issues and I am afraid that a difficult year is ahead but also hopefully some good stuff, God willing. Ds and dd-in-law are now happily married and hoping at some time for the patter of tiny feet and dd and her fiance are planning their wedding.
My dear Mum used to recite this:-
"Looking back give thanks, Looking forward take courage!"
So with thanks and courage here's to 2010!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Coco! - Great to have you with us.
Sunnygirl - I am really glad your MIL is going back to the care home, it sounds like a gentle loving place to be
Essex-girl - Thinking of you, what a shock! As everyone has said, at least there has been an early warning and you can all do something about it now.
Cranky - Your post about your dreams really touched me and I pray that 2010 brings peace and happiness and some new dreams to sustain you.
Rosyred - I was sorry to hear about your auntie.
Special thoughts and love going out to CRANKY and the house elf, and Smoky and family.
I will be alone at midnight (and possibly asleep!!) but if not, will raise a glass to all of you and send my love and thoughts for a.

Okay I am caught up now
Hi to everyone and hugs to those who need them. I don't in fact know many people who actually make a big deal out of new year's!! I am staying in alone tonight as OH is working. After much debating, at first I was going to go to his work (bar) then I was like right I will stay home but be in bed asleep by 12, I am really feeling a bit relaxed about it now and have a bottle of lambrini (classy) and a tub of ben and jerrys. My OH paid for it in Tesco and I informed him he had just bought me a present as they are MINE MINE MINE LOL.
It is my first NYE alone really - always went out until I met my OH 6 years ago and we both realised we didn't actually like going out all those years, we have spent every NYE in together since with champagne at midnightNever mind, the money he is earning makes me soon cheer up!
I must be getting old (26) as I have been more looking forward to New Years Day and more time off work. Cooking a roast, basically Xmas with chicken instead of turkey, as our veg and potatoes were frozen I still have loads left plus stuffing gravy etc yum.
Plus I am really excited about Eastenders!! I will probably watch some TV but at 12 will prob have a DVD or something on and then wait for OH to get home (more likely fall asleep) -- a tip for anyone staying in is that the take that concert is on ITV2 over midnight and it is absolutely AMAZING I went twice to the concert (ok not money saving or OS I am a TT fanatic comment away from getting kicked out of here LOL)
I hate being back at workI got far too attached to my duvet and this site because I was really missing them both
And as OH was getting ready to go to work I was excited about coming on here LOL
Anyway, here is to a money saving new year - I have just about got to the stage of not getting into MORE debt every month, hopefully I can start to save a bit more, and especially with all you lovely people and your OS tips. Mainly concentrating on food in January for health (diet) and money reasons so I will be on here LOTS.
Will probably be on a bit later so will say hi if so

Happy New Year[/QUOTE]
LegalBlonde, It is a well known fact that any money spent on music and particularly on concerts doesn't count(its the same principle as birthday cake has no calories whatsoever)
I have watched the T.T. concert(sadly only on TV) three times up to now. Totally amazing.
As for TT(or ANY music:rotfl:)comments on here- don't worry. They put up with my obsessive rantings..........(have I told everybody that there is only 10 months to my next "adventure":j:j
Have a great night everyone.

Smoky, i'm thinking of you as always. xx
Sunny.. love to you and yours.
Welcome to all the newbies.
Cranky, thank you for the lovely pm. :A I wish you and George all the love and luck in the world for 2010. George will bring you all the dreams you wish for and your lovely hubby would be so proud. xxx
We've had friends round for tea but our other friends have cancelled for tonight due to ill health. So we've opened another bottle and chucked some logs on the fire and will venture out for the bells to watch the fireworks and listen to the ship horns in the bay.
Have a safe end to the year everyone and may a peaceful and content 2010 be yours.
