Yummymummy85 welcome to the thread, (is 85 your year of birth, if so it's mine too!). We all have good days and bad days and I am prob as extreme as you with those! I find that's just the way it is when you have kids and you sound like you're doing pretty well, I doubt you do have PND as that is pretty severe, but keep an eye on yourself just in case.
I take weekends off housework too, why not eh?!

Just cleared out 4 or the 6 top cupboards of my kitchen. Bag of stuff for charity shop, bag for the bin, packed up a box for moving and tidied them up. Am feeling very pleased with myself, especially as all the kids are here and I still managed it!

Gammon cooked for dinner and this weeks lunches for DH.

Car is almost fixed but still no house...

Am losing the plot a little though, got DS1 dressed for preschool yesterday morning before I realised it was sunday and I only found out today that this is last week of term before holidays!

Total madness here atm and very little getting done, did school run today with Ds6 in tow as he still not allowed back to school after pox. raced into Asda to grab a few bits then slipped at till, which jarred my back (which is temperamental to say the least) and am in agony. Told girl on till that there was wet patch all thru her check out and she says yes I have asked for a cleaner!! Complained at customer services and had to fill in first aid form - while they keep putting customers thru checkout with no warning sign and no clean up!! Six times they called for cleaner but no-one came, eventually the manager had to do it herself. Now I can hardly move and a not even manageing the basics!! :(

Got loads to do this week too, and have to get a boiled eggg decorated with DD4 for nursery tomorrow. DH at work so am relying on eldest two to assist with little ones.

You are making me feel old now :rotfl:I am 5 years older than you both - I turn 30 this year  Not sure how I feel about it - ok I think but it seems to have come round really quick.

Kidcat hope you are feeling better today? How annoying! I can not believe they didn't put a sign up or clean it up right away! Typical!

I am tired as I have been on a 'buggy push' at local woods today. It was free (apart from £2 parking fee) and was quite good. It was quite a fast pace though so not sure I will be able to do it for many more weeks. I took ds swimming yesterday and have aquanatal this week - I have never done so much exercise! :rotfl:

I don't know if all areas are the same but I find so much free stuff to do with ds. I thought being a SAHM was going to cost a fortune going to tots groups and keeing him entertained etc. The only thing I really pay for is swimming lessons and coffees everywhere we go :o I love finding new free stuff to do :D Ds did 6 weeks of 'Yoga bugs' free through local surestart. I am trying to find out if they are going to run anything like that next term.

I have given up doing housework today I think :o I am tired. I have done 3 lots of washing - one of them has got wet on the line outside cos it started to rain before I got home  Don't you just hate that?

I need to go food shopping but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I have got a pie out of the freezer I made a few weeks ago for tea, so we can cope until tomorrow.

    .

Always happens to me, but usually because I forget about it!

Have made a lovely butternut squash, pepper and carrot soup today and a huge spag bol with tons of veg. Am trying to lose some of the many stone I put on with this last pregnancy! Still weigh 2 stone more than I did when I got pregnant and I was doing WW then. No point going back until after we move but thought I'd start on my own and see how I go, aiming to lose 2 and a half stone by the summer.

Estate agent called today and said landlord's are in no rush to move us out as they may decide not to re-let this place so that's taken some of the pressure off.

Off to see if Ds1 is done pooing and if Ds2 has tipped his potty all over the bathroom yet :o. They like to get up many times to go to the loo after I've put them to bed

    Hi there

I would like to join your group. I am a mum to 2 ds's who are 3 months and 2 years old and I am currently on maternity leave.

I love the idea of being a SAHM and just wondered how you guys do it ie financially becuase that is the only thing holding me back really. My husband works full time as a bus driver and his wage is ok but nothing spectacular and at the moment being a SAHM is just a pipe dream for me but I'd be interested to find out how you guys cope.

Hi Jenkins, I am in the same position as you at the moment, I currently work part-time and am thinking of giving up work to be a SAHM. We have been discussing it for a few months now and it is nearing the summer holidays when I will have major childcare issues. I have been paying off the small catalogue debts I have, so when I do stop working it will be one less thing to worry about. Luckily we have a very small mortgage and few other outgoings so things are looking promising on the money front. Hubby says go for it, if it doesn't work out I can always look for another job, it's not as if I make a spectacular amount of money as I only work 16 hours a week.

So much for getting organised, I had been doing so well but this week its all flown out of the window. Am now so far behind its making me cross :(

Good news about the house Ragz. Just be careful they dont decide to put it on the market while you are in it, they will expect you to sell it for them!!

Momentous occassion today - DD4 is moving into her first big girl bed!!!

Of course it means I have spent all day dismantling cotbed and building new bed, so nothing done again here!!
  • Katscorner - hope your feeling better

Kidcat - hope dd's move to a bed went ok. We put ds straight from a cot into a single bed cos he is really big for his age. He looks so grown up, I wanted to cry when we moved him :o

I hope you all had a good weekend.

My washing machine is just about to give up so ordered a new one yesterday - and thanks to codes on this site got a really good deal :D My dh was really impressed, we went out and looked at them. Came back and did some research then after deciding which one to get, I spent 5 mins on here and saved us some money :) Need to try and get rid of the old one on freegle now in case it might do anyone for spares or else it will go up the tip. Still need to get rid of the TV I couldn't give away so not sure anyone will want a broken washing machine but you never know. So I can't do much washing until the new machine is delivered, so that is mounting up!

I have decided to do an online shop this week as lifting stuff is getting harder and my bump gets in the way! I need to find which supermarket has best deals on and work out which one to order from. On line shopping always takes me longer than going for real :o but it is easier and I plan better that way.

Money saving diva - well done on the washing machine, I have been naughty today and ordered a video camera from argos on ebay. It was a really good deal though and I used money from my ebay sales but it wasnt something we were desperate for.
DD took to new bed brilliantly and is sleeping much better now. She loves that its a mid sleeper type bed so she has a den underneath that is a hit :) Was major work but worth it.

Have allowed the house work to really slip so need to pull it back tomorrow, as we are heading to the new Lego attraction on Weds and into Liverpool to visit museum etc on Thurs, so tomorrow I need to get organised. :)
