I've been quite productive so far today, still on the list:
put the baby's clothes away
decide what to wear tonight
do a lot of situps
I could probably manage some other stuff too. If I decide I can be bothered... Molly spent half the night in her cot but then Husband brought her into the bed for feeding, I woke up and she was still there - but spread out in an X shape and at an angle so once I'd moved from under her hand there wasn't any room for me to lie back downOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Good afternoon
Well, yesterday I didn't really do much, I was so lazy. And it's snowing again! I hate not being able to get out. The car has been frozen solid since mid-December (not that I'd drive with the ice), DS freaks out when he gets cold so a potential trip to the corner shop is about our limit. I know I sound miserable, I just want to get out of these 4 walls.
So, as I am in, these are today's jobs:
- [STRIKE]put washing on[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]put dry washing away and hang up wet washing[/STRIKE] (laundry baskets are looking pretty good at the mo, with me sticking to a load a day)
- [STRIKE]washing up[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]take an inventory of what's in the freezer[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]update fortnightly meal plan[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]do online shop[/STRIKE], aiming to spend around £60 - is this reasonable for 2 weeks?? I think I will come in under then have to keep topping up
- put 1 thing on freecycle
I think that's enough. The rest of the time will be spent playing with DS. Oh and reading my book. And NOT spending all day on the internet
Good luck to you pregnant ladies, it's enough to make me want one! I'll have to find an OH first though!0 -

!
I know exactly how you feel! My DS1 although he really wants to build a snowman, cries when he gets cold so it's not worth 15 minutes getting them ready to be out for 5! Car is a no no and I've been stuck in for nearly a week now.
Kids are actually better today, think they have got bored of being difficult!
Had a brainwave and realised I have a pack of nappies in the car so that crisis is averted, OH off to the shops for sweets and cider in a minute.
Have decided to have a rest day today after doing so much all week, made pizzas with the kids for lunch though so don't feel too bad, though I ate too much and baby is not approving!
Snow won't stop, we've had about another 4 inches since this morning

Super duper productive today. I am so very proud of myself. My first productive day of 2010
I have ...
Decluttered my bedroom. I have thrown 4 bin bags of stuff away and have another 6 bin bags full for the charity shop. I still have to sort out the draws and wardrobes, that is tomorrows job. HURRAY :j0 -

Glad I'm not the only one. I got some jobs done that I have been putting off for approximately forever today so that was good. For the 1st time ever I think I know what food I have in the house, the washing up is done and I have a menu plan.
Hopefully once you start on the road to organisation it gets easier. Making my bed and the laundry are the only 2 real habits I have at the moment, the rest I have to think about (and I'm in year 5 of being a FLYbaby! :rotfl:).
I have also looked at my finances and at least know what's going on, even if it is worse than I thought! I think the meal plan should save pounds and hopefully lbs!
Hope everyone is having a good day! I have realised that I yearn for days like this where I can stay in and do what I need to do so I'm grateful for today!

Thanks rainbow81!!
Only tips I have re weighloss is I am trying to make sure that when I think of something I want to eat I try and make it as healthy as possible:
i.e whole tin of beans with three bits of white bread toast covered with lashings of butter turned into 2 bits of brown seedy bread a scraping of butter and half a tin of beans and one egg.
Same with treats = all still allowed but in moderation.
Instead of waaaay to many choc biscuits have just one.
(Or instead of the mountian of chinese on a plate eating until you can't move having a small plateful)
I find I crash and burn if I go to the extremes so just trying to eat better and less. (NO 50:50 plates with hubby I have less)
Anyways watched sky news a minute ago and they forcasted snow all tonight/tomorrow/monday/tuesday and wednesday here in wiltshire yet the met office and bbc weather are quite the opposite - confused?!
Haven't got very organised today haven't got any motivation so going to scratch today and get started tomorrow.
One quick question - how do you all organise your paperwork/bank statements/ bills etc I am drowning under the stuff!!
And do you all keep 7 years of everything or throw caution to the wind and chuck stuff once its paid?2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

I have folders, labelled of course and carefully stashed in a drawer.
I also have many seperate mounatins, piles, nests and pigeon holes full of random bits of paperwork that I haven't got around to sorting into said folders... :rotfl:
But occaisionally I get it all out and throw most of it away. I do keep bank statements but thankfully don't get many as I switched to paperless online to save time.
OH is self employed and I have enough to deal with sorting his paperwork that actually DOES HAVE to be lept for 7 years. I tend to sort his out every few months, which involves excavating scraps of paper/reciepts from bags, pockets and wallets
Did well with the cooking today - made pizzas with the kids for lunch :A then used the leftover pizza sauce I'd made as a sauce with pasta and sausages to have for dinner. Yummy, cheap and healthy - and the kids ate it all :j:jJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Thanks for the weight loss tips, I am starting to feel my backside melting with the lack of general walking to the shops and back!
I have a small folder for bank statements and pop them in there whenever one comes in.
One folder for bills, again the latest one goes on the top, whatever it's for. I tried splitting them into categories but it got too complicated and I don't generally need them again after they're paid. (But I do like to see how this January's electric bill compares to last January's, saddo that I am!)
I also have a folder just for tax credits, one for education (as son has a statement so there's loads of paperwork), ditto for health. And one for other stuff like child benefit/housing benefit, etc.
I haven't had this system long but it's the best so far (I have tried many). I think when a folder gets full I will shred anything from the year before. Do we need to keep things for 7 years?? Hmmm.
