  • Well done rainbow81!

Why is it that when we have a really good day getting stuff done and the house is looking good you feel really good like a proper OS housewife.
Yet you never remember that feeling when it is 2pm already and your still sat on the sofa watching daytime TV?

Day has been a sucess me thinks and I have lost 2lb in my first week of healthy eating! :T

Ragz Ill report back on the meatballs tomorrow although I don't think Ive done you very proud...Id describe them as rustic lol as the onion isn't small enough and i didn't have any breadcrumbs!:rotfl:

Off to update my weight loss signature!
2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
    Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(
  • I have just ordered some coat hangers that are going to change my life LOL

They are space saving and you hang them in on two hooks with 6 holes in the middle, hang your 6 items on and then drop the end hook down so all 6 items hang lower....that it such a rubbish desciption lol, but I cant post links!

Anyway, have ordered 8 from the auction site, and once they arrive I am going to get cracking on the bombsite that is our wardrobe!!! We could really do with a larger one, but no space in our room, so hopefully these are the answer!!
Only £5 with postage for 8, so quite MSE as well!

  • I have a new part to my ''plan''
Once the baby is asleep it goes something like this: Nightly

*put washer on (a cycle takes an hour so it's more or less an hour a night)
*wash dishes, dry and put away
*wash bottles and make up tomorrows bottles
*Fill up cat munchies and water
    *Do litter tray
*Sweep floor and bag up rubbish
    * Vacuum sitting room
*Get out tomorrows bibs, cloths, towel and spare cardy
*Sort out nappies (I put 4 day time and 1 night time nappies each in a nappy bag with a wad of loo roll) - (bibs.cloths, towel, cardy and nappies go on the mantle piece to hand with bum cream and wipes)
    * Spin washing - while spinning clean unit tops, bin top and cooker front - hang up washing - put out bowl and fill up kettle for heating morning bottle.

((((Note to self: Need to start sorting out next days clothes on a night time))))

Need to think up a morning one while the bottle is warming up - wonder how much I can get done in 5 minutes?

  • Oh, did my first online Asda shop. I wouldnt buy milk again though as it was to be used that day! So I only used half a bottle - apart from that though I thought it was great. Only £3.50 delivery charge and I couldnt possibly carry everything I got - would probably take 6 trips at £2.20 bus fare a trip!

Morning all; another day snowed in here, am finding it hard to think of different snowy activities!
    My organisational plans for today:
1 Make some bagels as we have run out - off to find a suitable recipe
    2 Clean bathroom
3 Measure up dining room for laminate
4 Measure up spare bedroom for new carpet for Bump
5 Sort out maternity clothes and put clothes in loft that I have no chance of wearing for next 6 months

That should be it! Have snowmen and polar bears to build too!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Didn't make it back online yesterday as OH was hogging the pc. I think he spent about 10 hours online yesterday.
I nearly murdered the kids several times as they were driving me crazy. Today is not looking any better and they've only been up an hour. Currently rolling around the LR floor wrestling!

I have cleaned the kitchen, which I should have done last night but had a bath instead.

Off to check on Flylady and add the list to my jobs for today (think it's bathroom today, yuck!)

    Todays Jobs

    Sort bags, coats and shoes
    Wash boys' bedding
Find things to do wth kids that make me feel less murderous...
June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
    2 adults, 3 teens
Progress is easier to acheive than perfection.

  • ive had t abandon my list in favour of completly rearranging my sons bedroom...
he has been a wonderful sleeper up til just before christmas then all of a sudden he got a stomach bug (which is still bothering him but the docs wont do anything) and when he wakes he thinks thats the time to get up... no matter what time it is, its been 6am, 4 am and last night he woke at 1.30am and no matter how asleep we got him as soon as we left the room he started crying again... i managed all of 2 hours sleep and that was on his bedroom floor :(
my poor OH didnt get much more than that and had to go to work this morning...

so im going to gut his room and hopefully make it nicer (or at least different) so it might distract him long enough to let me sleep (or i may just snap somebody)
  • Hi all,
I would love love love to join you all on this. :D I am going to get organised this year if it kills me. Last year I was way too lazy and i'm not going to me that way again. I think for me being a sahm has allowed me to sit and watch too much tv and get nothing down. So here goes I WILL get motivated.

    Today I will...
    1) Wash up
2)Wrap my ebay items and get them posted
3)try out my new fitness dvd as I am going on a diet and fitness thing
    4) de-clutter my wardrobe/ draws/ under my bed in the bedroom

Will post back later to see how I got on. Well done to everyone here who have already been super organised this yera so far :j

Tell me about it! Today I got up at a disgusting hour and feel so guilty as DS stayed in his bed until I went in to get him. Hopefully he had a lie in (as in sleep) too. School is open but only from 10 and it's not obligatory so he's staying at home in the warm.

I am hoping to wash away the guilt today, I do feel dreadful.

    I will:
    - [STRIKE]put washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]put dry washing away and hang out wet washing[/STRIKE]
    - afternoon washing up
    - wash down the washing machine
    - wash the kitchen bin
    - clean inside handbags and throw all old sweet wrappers away, etc.
    - [STRIKE]go to the corner shop and spend loads of money on chocolates[/STRIKE] :Ddone by ex-OH :j
    - [STRIKE]evening washing up[/STRIKE]
    - paint nails (I just do them plain but it's nice when they're shiny)

I want a baby well done on your weightloss, that's great :T You must give me some tips.

    xx
