back to the baby boys and pointing bits correctly!, my son is 2.5 and because i always talked to him before he could speak, eeven now when i change him or he goes on potty he says put my willy down mummy! the things they pick up on!!!

    Same here!

I'm sure she will have lots of friends to negate the lack of a sibling her age. Some children prefer siblings their age, some prefer being the centre of attention.

That's what I'm worried about! I've been lucky with the boys in that they entertain each other. This one is going to require a lot more from me which will take some getting used to.

You may want another one, don't count it out ;)
Well I'm trying to persuade OH to have a little snip lol so hopefully not! (they won't do me as at 24 I'm too young) This one was a total accident (well they all were really) and am determined not to let it happen again!

Guess I sound really heartless and un-maternal!

Ragz, my DH had it done in June when I was pregnant. The boys were pill babies and DD is a minera baby :D So we are kinda hoping not to be 1in5000 after being 1/100 twice and a 1/500.

Right, forgot about the list, but I did make a start in the master bedroom. 1 black bag of rubbish so far. Plus a plan for finacnes has been made.

:coffee: then tidy the kitchen (todays dishes mostly) and back to the bedroom.

Roxie, Ikea's German family card mailing this week had a desk for stupid money - I don't know if they have the same offers internationally but it's worth checking :)

Ragz, a friend of mine had no Sky because of snow but brushed the snow off the dish and it worked fine. Is that an option for you?

Still wrangling ebay, the photo uploader is intermittent.

How is the snow near everyone? It hasn't stopped all day here and the school has already informed us they will be closed again tomorrow. At least we don't have to get up and sorted in the morning, today we didn't know until we were nearly ready to leave anyway!

Getting stuff done wise I've not started any of the big things I want to tackle but I did find the bottom of the washing basket, clean the bathroom and make a huge pot of soup as well as building Gilbert-the-6ft-snowman so not been too idle either. :)

    Afternoon ladies and gentleman!

Well the snow came down last night while I was at the cinema (I saw Nine, not sure about it), DS is at his dad's 12 miles away and school is closed so I am having some unexpected "me-time". I am watching 60 minute makeover which isn't exactly productive! Lol.

On a more positive note I went to my first yoga class for about 8 years and so I feel about a foot taller now!

    So today's to do list:
    - [STRIKE]go to yoga[/STRIKE] :)
    - [STRIKE]put washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]put dry washing away and hang wet washing up[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]15 minutes looking for bills and filing them[/STRIKE]
    - put the bins out
    - [STRIKE]clean out the fridge, throw old food away and give it a wipe[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Clean cabinet doors in kitchen[/STRIKE]
    - Evening washing up
    - [STRIKE]print out social stories for DS and put them in a file[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]dismantle the christmas tree and put away,[/STRIKE] though I think I threw the box out! Oops.
    - [STRIKE]Email OU with past addresses[/STRIKE]

Hope everyone is safe and warm!

    xx

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I read what everyone says, and take your tips.

I am feeling chuffed with myself because I am good at writing lists but not so good at doing what's on them, and having my list for all to see has really motivated me, so thank you!

Brrr it is chilly in my house, I wore tights to bed (no one to snuggle up to, boo hoo) and DS is still at his dad's, having fun and making snowmen. I do miss him! (DS, not his dad!).

I'll put the bins out later but I doubt the bin men will come tomorrow.

    R xx

Funnliy enough OH did that earlier, he has a broom head for his long pole (gardening stuff) and managed to reach it. After I talked him out of plan a) climbing on the roof and plan b) using his leaf blower to blow the snow down (visions of an avalanche of snow from bungalow roof)

Mouldy curtains survived the wash and tumble dry but have shrunk about 4 inches. Thankfully they were too long anyway and now fit on the sill and actually hang! Mould not gone but at elast curtains aren't manky.

OH won't be working for the rest of the week so that's a total of £240 lost this week, most of our weekly income. He missed a lot before xmas because of snow too. And tax bill of £800 due by the end of the month. Great!

oh dear today has NOT been a productive day:mad:
I have hoovered and been on the internet searching for holidays but that is it (job wise).....Need to motivate myself tomorrow. The kids have enjoyed their day at home but I am ready to send them back into school (unfortunately their school is closed another day)

Going to start afresh tomorrow and set myself smaller goals

    1) hoover (is now an everyday job:mad:)
    2) clear as much washing as possible
    3) sort out my calender
  • haven't done much but made a home made veggie stew in the slow cooker. Had a friend pop round with her ds today so didn't do anything. May thing I need to do is to make sure I do some washing as it will build up.
crib still in lounge waiting to be cleaned lol
