I can still hide veg to a certain extent in their pasta sauce etc but I'd like them to be able to eat a roast dinner etc where the veg is obvious!
you could starting out by putting sauce over certain veg? like a cheese sauce..
my DD used to be adamant that she didnt like cauliflower or brocolli but she woofed down the 'cheesey trees' i made... and guess what they were!
or maybe a pasta bake with added veg, that way they may just get used to eating them then progress to the point where its just on the plate with the rest of the dinner?
not sure of the ages, but can they help you prepare in any way? ive always found that if they help make it they are far more interested in eating it0 -
Direct opposite here, I have two girls and am cooking a blue one - there's gonna be extra things to deal with during nappy changes!!
Have spent a big chunk of this afternoon reading this thread. I will be a SAHM as of the end of this month, although I only work PT at the mo anyway. I have girls aged 9 and 7 and about a million things I need to get done/sorted/organised before baby boy joins us at easter. Lots of great tips already! :T
Oh the nappy changing is so much easier!! It's all on the outside, iykwim!! And he never wee'd at me which can often happen with boys.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

when my son was newborn we were given some over size fleece socks in a basket of clothes, they were NEVER going to fit him (probably still wouldnt and hes 2 now!) so they became 'wee socks'
he would try and pee on us everytime we were changing his nappy and the air hit his bum... so we would pop one of these socks over his willy and it would soak most of it up, but even if it didnt at least it wasnt hitting me in the face! :rotfl:0 -

A mental organisation day. Organising stuff in my head is hard work so I may have to sit with a few :coffee: and some biscuits
i like this idea! :TUrgh - cleaning poop off girls is horrible. DD gets it all in her lady bits and I'm terrified of hurting her cleaning it off.
im the opposite, i had DD first, and now with DS im petrified of pressing too hard or something....Carla-Farla!!

My youngest daughter used to manage to wee on me somehow anyway and as for projectile poo!!! _pale_ lol. I've been told to lay tissue over little man as I undo his nappy to prevent the hose pipe round the room effect, does that work? A friend of mine had a few issues with her bubba boy peeing up over the waist band of his nappy, she couldn't figure out where the wet patches on his tummy where coming from to start with! :rotfl:
On the organisation front we've been hit by the snow overnight, the schools are closed and hubby is working from home so I don't know what I'm going to get done today. Does building snowmen count as getting organised?:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
