For weeks you will get a fright at every nappy change over whats missing and how weird it looks :rotfl: I still do it!

She will need loads of dresses and you may develop an ebay addiction :o

My boys are great with DD, though they can be a little rough and DS1 did comment that her 'boobs were growing' because she has a wee Buddha belly and boobies

And she really is a spoiled little princess, more so because we stopped at 2 after being told too by my consultant so she was a shock and a lovely surprise after the first horrible weeks when we were told to terminate. Always said I would never dress a girl in pink... so she has some lilac too! :rotfl:

Do I need to do stuff today? I've finally done the ironing, packed it all away and put away the folded stuff. So the rest of today is what we will call....

A mental organisation day. Organising stuff in my head is hard work so I may have to sit with a few :coffee: and some biscuits :D

:rotfl: I haven't changed a girl since doing my sister's nappy a few times 13 odd years ago and am dreading nappy changing, don't have a clue lol

I too am sitting down with cuppa and biccies, done quite a lot today and I AM meant to be resting!

Kids have come back from preschool more full of cold and whingey than when they left. Have stuffed lunch of cheesy beans on toast into them and stuck them in front of a DVD, under a blanket, eating choccy biccies (bad mummy).

Have shoved a chicken and a load of wrinkly looking veg in the oven, so dinner's half done and as a bonus the kitchen will warm up!

ManOnTheMoon - Just read your signature - 7 girls! You are a very very brave man! And your new GF must be pretty brave too lol
any tips? I'm expecting my first girl after 2 boys and have no idea what to expect. All I remember is being one of 3 girls and fighting with my sisters from the moment they were born until I left home!

Chicken and veg will make up for the biscuits

I consider myself lucky to have such lovely girls  *more later

New lady is a very sweet and lovely person and the girls love her, so she hasn't had to worry about much yet, although one fell out with her and she took it in her stride.

Tips - I've blagged my way through every day, although a tip I can now give after todays mail...

When 15yo gets in that door at 3.30, she is going to get the shock of her life.

Why oh why can she not behave like the others. 99% of the time she is so adorable, but every now and then...

I hate falling out with them, I really do, but I can't be soft all the time. I'm so soft because their mothers both walked out and the eldest two on 2 occasions. 16yo deals with it by looking after her sisters, 15yo deals with it by.....Grrr, she's a good kid, she really is, just doesn't trust anyone but me and her siblings and now new partner she has taken a shine too.

It's not that bad once you get used to it, its just the missing parts and feels a bit weird when poo gets into places  I'd only ever changed my niece once and it was a pee. Oh and girls have this magic trick of getting poo everywhere, DD makes it squeeze out one leg. The boys never did that! She does it every single time she has a poo!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oh dear lol
My sisters are still teenagers and it's those years Im dreading most I think, but really I'm just worried she'll get left out with 2 older brothers, especially as they are only 13 months apart so very close so I'm used to them keeping each other occupied. Really don't want to have to have ANOTHER baby to keep this one company!

Urgh - cleaning poop off girls is horrible. DD gets it all in her lady bits and I'm terrified of hurting her cleaning it off.

I've now done all my work stuff, am about to make the two phone calls I need to make then clear off my desk at home and clear the dining room table. Living room has to wait because my monster is going to sleep on the sofa (currently grumbling to herself but on her way down) and after those two will be the wardrobe - shoes and Husband's birthday presents.

My dishwasher broke down when I was pregnant and I cried! It took about 3 weeks for the part to come and every time I had to do the dishes I heaved all over the sink because I had Hyperemesis.
I LOVE IT! and i'm not ashamed to admit it :rotfl:

me too! though the smell when u open the dishwasher is nearly as bad - over sooner though lol.

No.5 Write thank you cards. You know that's something I do but no one ever does them for me! So not going to bother anymore :p

I should do a to do list - I did make out a rota but so far it has been half hearted attempts, I am thinking it will take 6 months to get the hanfg of it properly!
Tomorrow/today I will give the bathroom a good going over.

it is nice if u have kids to get them to do it though - just cos other people dont have manners doesnt mean we have to go to their standards. my kids r so spoilt i'm terrified of them becoming ungrateful brats so always make them write out thank you cards :)
