Finally got the rest of the xmas stickers off the LR window, got the boys to help!
Then I had to clean the windows of all the hand marks lol

Lady just came from freegle and picked up bag of baby clothes I decluttered this morning.

Chicken and veg done, just needs heating up later and cabbage cooking. Kids of course aren't going to eat any of this apart from possibly a bit of chicken, but when OH eventually gets home he at least will appreciate it.

Our bedroom now ready for baby, the floor is clear so as long as OH doesn't dump any more Airgun paraphenalia and dirty clothes on it then it's fine for midwives to deliver baby on.
Apart from the mountain of clothes I've dumped on the bed that need folding later I'm pretty much done for today. Boys have barely stopped whingeing all day though so patience is wearing thin... in fact youngest is currently sitting on my lap and wailing for no obvious reason...

  • Evening to you all - very stressful day here.....hubby took 3hrs to go about 5 miles on roads that were dreadfully dangerous and icy and ds waiting at school to be picked up by him as I couldn't get out. Anyway all home now finally and am having huge glass of red wine.

Did lots of random things whilst I was waiting for them to get home to try and keep my mind off things - house looking good!!!

Cleaned aga, bleached toothmugs, moveed furniture round in family room, vacumned everywhere....sad eh.

Hope you are all safe and warm - it really is very cold and icy outside.

Tommorow - no-one will be able to get out so will probably not get much done!

    Hello to one and all

Is there any room for a little one?
    I promise I'm house trained.....

I'm a SAHM2B, am currently 12 weeks pregnant, not working due to relocation to far end of the galaxy (ok so from Kent to County Durham), so far have not really enjoyed pregnancy, as had been sick all the way through so far and just starting to feel "ok-ish" past two days.
I need to be much more organised in our current shared house, and motivate myself to start doing more now that im starting to feel better, also I know from much reading, that being a sit on your backside bum whilst pregnant makes for all sorts of things to be more painful LOL so I though if I could start now, get into good habits, i'd be doing myself a favour.

Today did one of the two things planned.
Done food shopping and meal plan for week

Tomorrow however need to complete my housing register application to try and get council housing.....doing it online so not a massive problem....and change bed linen and get that washed, and tidy our bedroom.
Having only recently moved in, its all a bit chaotic....

Monday need to go into town and register for library, do scan for jobs for dh, and then I want to be really ruthless with my wardrobe as well, and do a thorough sort out and chuck out.

Tuesday - take booty from monday into charity shops in town.
Would also like to try and do some baking, cant keep buying muffins when out. And need to clean bathroom as well.

Trying to try and find things to do that mean leaving the house once a day, hard at the moment due to snow, and feeling rubbish, but am trying.....

    Did you mean this one?

Well, DS1 got even more whigey, not coping well with having a runny nose poor thing. So early bath and bed for them, thinking it would help. An hour later and they still weren't asleep and DS2 has been a nightmare...

Dinner time didn't go well. DS1 impressed me by eating a whole drumsticl - but he wouldn't touch his potato/veg.
DS2 systematically chewed up and spat out every piece of chicken on his plate (also refused the veg) then had the cheek to ask for more chicken! No idea what's wrong with that boy, he seems to do this spitting out thing a lot with meat, maybe he has trouble swallowing the texture or something...

I really need to think of ways to get more veg in them, MIL says not to worry and that OH never ate his veg until he left home and he's fine (but personally I think a grown man who claims an allergy to peas is not fine lol so I'd rather they had a more healthy attitude to veg than he does!)

I can still hide veg to a certain extent in their pasta sauce etc but I'd like them to be able to eat a roast dinner etc where the veg is obvious!

    Any advice anyone?

I'm expecting my first girl after 2 boys and have no idea what to expect.

Direct opposite here, I have two girls and am cooking a blue one - there's gonna be extra things to deal with during nappy changes!! :p

Have spent a big chunk of this afternoon reading this thread. I will be a SAHM as of the end of this month, although I only work PT at the mo anyway. I have girls aged 9 and 7 and about a million things I need to get done/sorted/organised before baby boy joins us at easter. Lots of great tips already! :T
