OMG OH is putting me to shame. I just went into the bedroom to inspect his progress, his wardrobe is organised by clothing type, even down to thickness of jumpers! He's thrown out tons of stuff and now all the drawers have folded clothes in! I'm shocked...
What will he want as a reward for this??
My OH was the same yesterday lol! He started sorting out his wardrobe/clothes/his half of the bedroom. I then felt guilty and tided up my stuff! ..But then he did ALL the ironing!!! (I haven't seen the bottom of my ironing basket for sooo long I have been avoiding it ) I feel so guilty that I have ironed the few items that had been washed and dryed today to keep the basket empty! I am going to have to keep on top of it now.
Help!
I think our men have the nesting instict lol! But yours is the right time Ragz lol mine has got it 5 months early lol! :rotfl:SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
My OH has been all about the cleaning today - making me feel guilty for eating chocolate while he organises ... what a lovely man

10.20am - baby in walker while having half a tub of pudding
11am - 5oz bottle
11.15am - baby has a nap and I have a sandwitch, do some knitting and fill our hot water water bottles)
12.10-12.20 - babys dad comes downstairs and watches her napping for me while I: have a wee! do the litter tray, put out bin bag, empty the washer, hang washing to dry, fill up washer.
12.40 - he watches her again while i go for milk and have a coffee
12.25 - baby wakes up, nappy change and play for an hour
1.45 - 6 and half oz bottle and play with me cleaning and tidying the sitting room
2.30 - in the night garden cuddle time!
3pm - i manage to get a bowl of cereal
3.30pm - baby has baby crisps, pear and juice (really to play with more than anything)
4.15pm - she has an 8oz bottle
4.25 - get her tucked up on couch hoping she'll nap (nope!)
4.45pm - re do hot water bottles
5.55pm - 1/2 jar dinner for her and juice
6.15pm - get her tucked back up on couch
6.30pm - hurray she has a nap and i get my tea
7.30pm -washed, nappy, ready for bed, 8oz bottle and bed by her dad while I:
8.oopm put the washer on and move the pc downstairs and tidy up, and keep a check on her cos he is moaning about it
9.30pm - she's asleep! he does some dishes then goes to bed.
10.00pm more tidying of sitting room
10.15pm - sort out washing
10.30 make up bottles (still doing)
Left to do: clean kitchen benches, do litter tray, clean kitchen floor, vacuum sitting room floor, clean cooker, sort out baby stuff for tomorrow and finally make myself something to eat.
And give her another 5oz at 12.30!
Will probably get to bed around 2am and do the same all again tomorrow!
I also cleaned the bathroom sink somewhere there too.50p/£24.00 Xmas 2010:rudolf:

Have run out of rooms to clean. Apart from the utility room but that's too cold at 3 degrees this morning! I'm starting to really hate the snow. Going to run out of nappies soon, we're getting another 10-20cm this weekend so no way am I driving anywhere. Time to potty train DS2 then!
Jimjamsmommy I've got 2 weeks, but I usually go overdue. Been 50% effaced and 2-3cm dilated for a few weeks and lots of pain and twinges but no baby yet. Luckily as no hope of a midwife getting out to me at the moment... though if it comes to it there is one that lives in the street behind us lol so I'll just send OH to knock on doors until he finds her!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

one extreme to the other?
my OH is the same... like our bedroom and the mountian of clothes... he says hes going to do it daily for months but it doesnt get done.... then all of a sudden its done and hes gone so far it looks like an attack of OCD!
he could have just folded the clothes and put them away and gone onto something else... but no he has to sort things by thickness and colour just to waste time even when hes doing something productive!!0 -
hiya, i know i am a little late as this thread started a while ago, but can i please join?
im not a full time SAHM as i work three days a week but i desperately need to get organised!! i always feel like i am living in a mess! and i always struggle to ''get on top of things'' my house isnt dirty there is just stuff everywhere, (mainly toys!) and it always seems like once i do get on top of things something else happens to knock it all out of whack! a few weeks before xmas my washing machine broke, we could use it but only for the bare essentials, it didnt get replaced until the 23rd of dec so i spent the next few days franticaly trying to catch up with that, then we had xmas and all the new toys ( i really should get rid of some of the old ones ) then on the 4th of jan was dd's 6th birthday so more new toys, dd has a birthday party today so i have spent the past few days trying to get organised for that. i have spent the best part of this morning cooking party food, making sandwiches etc etc
im having 5 mins to myself (albeit with ds who is 2 and a half sat right next to me randomly mashing buttons on the keyboard!)
good luck to the lady's who are due babys really soon, i'm so broody and love birth stories so i cant wait to read yours
i'm having a little giggle to myself, just had a flashback to my labour with ds where i had DH in a headlock, hahaha love it!Can you see the mountains through the fog?0 -

Welcome to the thread x
I attempted putting DS2 into pants to save on nappies but he took them off and cried for his nappy. Odd as he went through a phase of almost toilet training himself and now he's gone the other way. He's happy to sit on the loo but won't not wear a nappy, I think cos he hates wetting himself.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

thanks Ragz
i am also trying to potty train ds, its very much up and down, some days he will go on it and some days he wont,
we always try and make a big happy fuss when he does and he always feels really proud and sings ''oh yeah oh yeah, done a wee wee on the potty oh yeah oh yeah'' which is very amusing.
i ended up buying a potty for £30, not very mse i know, but its one like an actual toilet which you pretend to flush and plays a tune when you go,
i got this cause he went through a phase of hating sitting down on it ( he wouldnt even sit down in the bath??!) but i dont think it has worked any more than the cheapo ones
i never had any of this when dd was little, she was about 1 and a half and within a week was dry through the night too.
but i tend to leave ds too it, this may sound bad but he will be our last, with dd we were like '' i cant wait till she does this and that''
ds is more '' aw he is doing this now, he's getting bigger''
but at least with ds he still loves cuddles, dd is far more independant Can you see the mountains through the fog?0
