Hi everyone and thanks for replies,
Today has been HARD omg I never thought how hard it would be I have not long got in, we went out at 9am went to the job centre I told them I need to claim income support and need a crisis loan, they gave me phone numbers to ring which are free from landlines but I cant ring them in the job centre and because I dont have a landline we went to a phone box there were hardly any available so I had to walk down the hill and found one outside the art college and omg it was smeared in poo!
So we walked to the pavilion and there were two red ones both stank of wee and were full of booze and dirty, anyway I rang the number and was on the waiting list thing you know 'your call is in a queue blah blah blah' for 20 mins with a freezing four year old he was shaking so I had to go.
Went straight to my doc's who had a prescription waiting she'd written she wants to see me so we ended up waiting 45 mins !!!
Then I got my son some chips with the last pound I had he ate them and we went home I asked my neighbour if I could use her landline and she said yes, I rang for the crisis loan and was on hold for about 30 mins and the call was 40 mins, they agreed I could have £30 for food and had to go out to get it at half 2 by this time it was 2 o clock so I got my son ready and we rushed there, we were late so we had to wait until 3:mad: then we got seen at 3.15 then I had to go to the post office to get the cheque, then we got some food and got in just half an hour ago....
I still need to ring up for income support can I do this on Saturday ?
I also found out he changed tax credits back to his name:mad: so need to change that back Saturday using my neighbours phone again...
Now I'm home I'm feeling bad again the busy day has kept my mind busy.
God this is so hard.0 -

That all sounds really hard and depressing. But just to say, you did it so well done! You don't sound like an incapable person to me!0 -
I'm with belfastgirl23 - well done. You got through a horrible hard day and did what you had to do. This is just the beginning and the very hardest bit, so take heart. You are also in the best place on these boards for advice and help; everyone is here for you.
Happy 2010, Lisa - things can only get better.

Just a quick reply, he is not here but he did ring and and by the sounds of it was in a pub he asks all nicely about his flight booking apparently no money was taken from the acount but I do have an e-mail confirming it. he is going for one week from the 10th till the 17th. made me think he does only speak nicely when he wants something.
Cant remeber if I had written I saw a text he wrote to his friend this morning saying he is going to move out in the new year or he had more written my wife is putting me on the street.0 -
no advice lisa just massive hugs and support - people here are here for you. take care of yourself hun. are the tax credits in your name or his?? if both contact them and let them know that your ex husband has changed it and is there anything could be done to stop him. xxx0

Lisa, you need to get out of there. Keeping you and the child short of food is abuse.

I cant offer any advice, just my support. I hope that this is just the first step on the road to a better life for you both. Things sound really bad for you at the moment, I hope that from here things can only get better.
I'm disgusted that your partner is treating you and your son (his son too!) so badly.0
