What's the time limit for a customer to put in an A - Z Guarantee claim? I've just had someone contact me claiming their order hasn't arrived - FOUR MONTHS after they ordered and I dispatched!

I think it is only 30 days, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm sure though thta it isn't 4 months!

This is what Amazon say in their T&Cs regarding chargebacks:

When buyers have a problem with a transaction, we ask them to first contact the seller to give them a chance to address the issue at hand. The buyer can file a guarantee claim if the seller does not respond or if the issue is not addressed to the buyer's satisfaction. The guarantee claim eligibility window for a non received item opens at 3 calendar days past the maximum estimated delivery date (EDD) for an order or 30 days from the order date, whichever is sooner. Other claims can be filed earlier. Usually, buyers may file a guarantee claim by 90 days after the order date at the latest. However we reserve the right to accept claims after that time frame, if we find an investigation into the matter is warranted..

I've just realised you can add images as a customer too - I've never seen that before, is it new?

We had a few good sales over the weekend on my work account so I thought I would share a few in the hope you might spot these on your travels:

Best sale this weekend for £120

Hi Helsbells, welcome back - I've recently bought a couple of books from Amazon.co.uk from sellers in the USA as they were the cheapest. I was charged £2.75 postage and the books arrived in 2-3 weeks from what I remember. I wasn't in a rush for them so no problem there. Nothing extra to pay - they had customs labels on them. One book was in a far worse condition than described [US megaseller] I complained and they refunded part of the price so that was ok. Hope this is what you were asking?

Thanks teapot! Sorry went off the forums again being a bit flaky aren't I !!

Thanks for the response it is deffinately something I will consider, in the end for this book I went through the process but by the time they had used there own currency converter there was much less in it :(. I then saw a cheapish copy on ebay so went for that. Incidentally though you did mention they came with customs papers, i believed for books you just had to write printed papers and not bother with anything else - i ask as I have actually just sold one myself to go to America.

Meanwhile the mini revival continues with further modest sales of a fairly static collection of about 150 books. I think it was Soolin who said that most things sell eventually and i think given my own experience and assuming you apply a little realistic judgement in what you bother to try and sell in the first place I would now agree :)

Hello Amazon Thread...me again!!! I am having a price dilemma:o. This is the book. When I put in the ISBN this is what comes up but the book I have in my hand is not a hardcover but a paperback stating "Second Edition" that is in excellent condition. I don't want to wait four years to sell it for £81.99:eek:!!! Which edition do you think I should list it under and what price?

I also wanted to say I love this thread but it seems a little quieter than it used to be. I think as Amazon selling has become more popular (thanks to the great MSE site!) it IS more challenging to find good books to sell. Its great when people share their successes:D
Both listed and sold within 24 hours last week

    and http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001EO6J8I

Can't remember exact prices but I didn't undercut anyone...both were out of stock by Amazon so I think I matched with the next price up and mine were better condition

One of the books listed under that item is a paperback, they've just written it in the description and priced at £15. I would list mine there too just stating its paperback not hardback. If mine was very good I would list at about £18. Its better to list as the right edition I think, which this is, rather than trying to make sure its under paperback

Thats what I would do anyway, others might do differently

So yours is the same as that one but paperback? I would give it a go at £70.00. You can always take the price down so its worth a shot

Personally I wouldn't risk listing a paperback under a hardback catalogue entry even if the ISBN us the same as Amazon may consider that wrongly listed and if the buyer complains you get to refund without possibly even getting the book back.

There is a paperback verison here, does this match the book you have with regards publishing date and number of pages etc?
