If there are pages missing then obviously its my fault, just not sure how I could have missed it as I check all my books before I send them out and when I read it i would have thought I'd have noticed.
I just wondered what my rights were if he had damaged it.
There hasn't been any feedback left for the buyer, but I've never left any feedback on Amazon and don't think many sellers do as you can't block a buyer so they could ruin your account by buying lots of things and leaving negs for it all couldn't they?

The trouble is how do you prove he has damaged the book? It's your word against the customer's and amazon is likely to side with the customer.
I very rarely leave feedback for a customer myself either, I think most sellers only leave feedback if they have problems with the customer as a warning to other sellers.
  • I cannot work how how to list a collectable book on Amazon. When I list them they appeared under used not collectable. Thanks for any help.

I always check the books before I send them so if its obvious its damaged then I'd know he did it, but if its not obvious then I could have missed it.

I think they all end up on the same page eventually, it is either a glitch or a deliberate attempt on Amazon's part to stop bothering with the collectable condition category.

I always check the books before I send them so if its obvious its damaged then I'd know he did it, but if its not obvious then I could have missed it.

So therefore the only way you will be able to find out is if you say you will pay the return postage, as I say Amazon will side with the customer so either just say yes you will pay return post or just give the customer a full refund and forget about the return of the book.
Unfortunately sometimes you just have to put it down to experience and hope that customer doesn't order off you again. ;)

If I remember correctly they changed the rules on collectable a while back.

Quote "Collectable books Must be signed, out of print or otherwise unique--you will have an opportunity to say why your copy is collectable. We suggest that you list such books at a price greater than the Amazon.co.uk price."

Thanks for the help. It seems you just need to select one of the collectable options from the condition drop down box - not sure how I missed this.

This Saturday is the last posting date for second class mail to ensure Christmas delivery (whether they can ensure that or not I have no idea) - is anyone else planning on turning their listings off?

I'm thinking people might expect first class postage if they order over the weekend and early next week otherwise as I've already had emails asking if I can guarantee christmas delivery. Silly question I think, I am not bringing your parcel by hand and I have no idea how bad the weather might get next week so I will be posting your parcel straight away but, no, I cannot guarantee anything.
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • I had someone order on the 23rd last year and then want a refund as it hadn't turned up the next day as they wanted it for an xmas present!
