Selling Your Stuff on Amazon Part 13 - Advice for newbies in first two posts

The best thing to do is get your own receipt book, most stationary shops sell them and take it with you then when you buy something at car boots etc. the seller just has to sign your book. The accounts book I use is called the best small business accounts book available from amazon in either non vat or vat registered editions. I use the YELLOW non vat registered one.

Edit: Although this is a very basic book and doesn't really tell you what to do it just has all the correct sections.0 -

Hi there, if you go to the amazon seller discussion boards via the "help for new sellers" link on the left when you log into your amazon seller site and go to the 3rd party software and services section there are more details of different ones you can use there.0 -
Here it is Becky004 https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/flex/sign-in-sdp.html/277-8218602-1252256?ie=UTF8&destination=%2Fgp%2FSDPSupport%2Fpreorder-report-GB.html although it currently says they are experiencing problems, please try again later
Work sales are currently 10 for the last 7 days which is not great considering we have almost 2000 items listed. I am selling more books this week than last week. Also doing well on some small electronics and sold a Blu-ray DVD player here last week for £80 which was excellent.
At the current rate of sales we won't be eligible for toy selling in the festive period though
Hi, I have been trawling through these amazon threads, to see if I could find some advice on selling, but NOT books. It all seems to be books... Now I've found the quote above, which refers to eligibility for toy selling? Toys are what I wanted to sell (used) but can't make much sense out of the amazon site. Perhaps I'm just too impatientPlease can anyone shed any light?
Cheers

The simple answer is unless you are already pre approved for toys you cannot now sell them until after Christmas. I would also express caution about sellign second hand toys on Amazon as I think for a new seller you may run into problems with exactly how to describe the level of use as of course you are selling against a catalogue entry not like ebay where you list your own things.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you soolin, that's really helpful
I hadn't considered the fact that it would be listed as a used version of a new thing, if you see what I mean. Given that their fees are on the high side and their explanations on the dense side, think I might just stick to ebay

I can't gauge it anymore as I've given up my pro membership due to absolutely dire sales. I'm in the process of removing all the cheaper books and leaving myself just a few hundred higher priced ones to keep me involved.
The Amazon system though is proving very difficult. I thought i had about 1500 items listed, but I actually had more that had completely disappeared. I get a box from storage, search my inventory for each book, most do not come up by SKU number of title on the first attempt. Sometimes I can only find them by authour, then that stops working and i can only find them by SKU. Then the whole system locks up and i have to stop for the day.
THen for every 50 or so books i search for I find 10 with SKUs that I have definitely listed but have completely disappeared off the sytem. They are neither in my closed nor my open listings.

Oh no I'm buying tons (2 boys at uni both needing books) but with Amazon and free delivery the new books are often cheaper than the marketplace sellers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
