Has anyone used the express delivery option on their sales yet? I still don't understand it properly. We could probably do it as all our items are sent out same or next working day, apart from weekends though so I don't know if we'd be eligible??

I haven't used it - guess most buyers wouldn't want to pay extra unless it was v urgent? I post next day usually and that seems to work ok - although feedback is rare these days it usually says their item arrived v quickly [and I post 2nd class :)]. I wonder if buyers would just email to ask if they could have it express and then you could alter the listing? Hope I've understood how it works BTW :o
  • Really interesting thread. I have been selling on Amazon for about 18 months and recently my sales have also slowed down to almost nothing especially in books but also DVDs which normally sell really quickly for me are sitting untouched. I'm thinking of giving up and having a car boot sale just to get the stuff out of the house and make a little bit of money. From a buyers POV I can see why since things are often not much more expensive to get directly from Amazon and often given the choice between saving £1 or so I will go with Amazon just because I know where I stand with them.

My sale of CDs have fallen though the floor this week. Hopefully things will pick up this week, as I'm fed up at just posting the 1 item at the post-office :(

As a buyer rather than a seller I have often found that by the time you add the postage to the 2nd hand price buying from Amazon with free delivery can be almost the same.
Having said that I was looking for text books recently and ended up with a mixture of 2nd hand and new.

Have emailed them about the pre-order reports for the last 2 days, first they said they did not know what i was talking about (I had said buyer waiting list in my email!).
Next it was clear my cookies as there was no problem preventing me from accessing my pre-orders (I have no pre-orders!).
Awaiting another reply on me wanting to access pre-order reports from other customers. The mind boggles!

Apparently you can now only access pre-order reports if you hold a business account, not an ordinary marketplace account even if you have a pro-merchant subscription. At least that is what they sent in their last email to me.
