Try phoning a local independant book store. Some of them buy and sell collectables. They will soon tell you the true value.Never Knowingly Understood.

I've just started selling on amazon and was listing some of my childhood books - for one of them there is one other used copy listed, at £6300! :rotfl: I really doubt it's worth that much, I was thinking £10 would be generous - but does anyone have some realistic suggestions for what I should price it at?!
Also try this site to see if there are any other copies around

Some of the prices are ludicrous aren't they & they can vary so much.
I've got several that I can;t find anywhere at all nowhere. Where they so bad they were all destroyed or can I retire on them I wonder:rotfl:0 -
Things are still slow but i'm plodding on. Just sold a CD though and it is going to italy, argghh. I fear I might as well just post it and also refund now as I'm not lucky with Italy.
Still, this time it might get there, I just need to avoid any poor feedback as my neutral is beginning to slide off the stats at last.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi everyone, been lurking on here as we've just started getting rid of half my husband's huge book collection on Amazon.
If a buyer leaves you neutral/negative feedback, do you respond to them? We sent out a book with something written inside the book, which we didn't mention on the listing.
thanks!0 -

If you were in the wrong a response probably won't help much, maybe a follow up with 'sorry for my error I would have fully refunded if known'.
However be aware that a neutral or neg on Amazon can seriously damage your ability to sell, it is much worse than ebay. I think amazon take to much commission. I sold some old books and by the time amazon get their cut its not worth the hassle. I now just take to charity shop.
It a shame there is nothing similar to amazon market place. Ebay is ok but I prefered the amazon ease of use.0 -

I've had 3 of the 'do not dispatch' this week. Does anyone know how long Amazon will keep a book on hold for before they 'release' it back for sale. I've asked them but they didn't give me an answer.0
