I'm loving the mouse Nuttybabe, I never laughed when I saw you were going to use eyelash wool, I thought you were very brave and must be really good at crochet ;)

    .

now that made me laugh!!!!!!!!! i cant crochet a square and my chains are not even!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Thanks everyone, he took me all night to make and i have seen the video about 100 times!

So well done to you all cos I cant do it (feathered wool hides a multitude of sins!!!). I am just very impatient and cant sit and crochet square till i know what i am doing like any normal person does. I would much rather spend 4 hours stuggling over a little mouse!! :)

So what challenge can i do now! Will have to have another look on youtube later!!!! :rotfl:

thats cool but i dont have any green or red wool. got a load to pick up from my mums next time i visit so will save that one for future use. and yes i know it doesnt have to be the right colours but i am odd like that!

i do have a rather disgusting looking wool that has lots of browns/yellow and brownish green in so could be mice or rabbit or something (hopefully will look better when used). not found anything yet on youtube so still open to suggestions.

all my wool seems to be quite thin as well, do you think i could just double it up? in which case i have blue and pink in normal wool as well.

Ohhhh look at this video.....so cute http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxq2GNkm4ww

They seem to be 2 round shapes with just ears, arms and legs stuck on.
Ohhhh you know what this means? It means I now don't want to finish my scarf and I want to make cute little bears in all colours and, dare I say, fluffy wool

I must be strong. I must finish. It'll only take about 4 more evenings....but think how many bears I could have made.

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This is all your fault nuttybabe :D

Go on, go for it! You have 2 mice under your belt. Can you adapt that project? You can do ears already so that's no problem.
There are video's for basic shapes on there (the body and head)

Well you DID ask for a challenge :D

I have just about managed to crochet granny squares lol not sure if I could pluck up courage to do the bears or mice :)

Last time I crocheted anything was 26 years ago when I did a treble crochet pram blanket for my son and I taught myself to do that from one of my mums mags :)

I have had several attemps at crochet over the years and its never clicked for me, so yesterday i went and got the magazine and i still cant do it! Have no idea why, i just cant get my head around it, can do the chain fine, but then it all goes very wrong! I can knit even the most complicated patterns, but not this.

Nothing wrong with granny squares. I love 'em! :D Although I'm thinking by the end of this month we'll all be infested with mice if we carry on! :)
