I agree grunnie. That pattern was a terrible choice for a beginners square. Talk about put people off!

Kazipoo that is a brilliant hat. You should be so pleased with yourself :j
The stitch looks more like a treble stitch but it could be me! Anyway whatever the stitch is it's fantastic!

I'm on the 3rd colour of the scarf. I've got 3 more rows to do plus the tassels (gotta have the tassels) and then I'm done.
With any luck we'll get the snow tonight and my work will be closed so I can stay at home and finish it.

Fingers crossed for me girls ;)

Kazipoo your hat looks good! I know nothing about the stitches so I wont comment on that but I like it.

You finished that scarf yet Sue? You need to catch up making fluffy animals.

Right well, I have just finished. I used the vile wool I had and he has turned out very very scary!!!!!!!!!!! Picture and hopefully a link of video if I can find it again tomorrow.

    night all

Kazipoo they are brilliant. thats the sort of thing i wanted to be able to do before discovering animals!

These are the 2 tutorials i used to make my scary teddy thing. They make alot more sense than the mouse one.

Can I join you please? I can knit and do a bit of sewing - although haven't done anything for ages - but have always wanted to learn to crochet.

I sent dh out to get the art of crochet and he came back with something different for £7.99!! It did have 6 colours of wool and a hook though........ Was hoping for a snow day today but have managed to get to work, but will have a go later as I have this afternoon off.

    Great pics so far!!

Before you look at the picture imagine it in fluffy pink with the head the same size as the body and nice eyes and mouth. so basically totally different to what it does look like!!!!!!! :P

But on the plus side my stitches are even (mostly) and right. so i am getting the hang of it! So now to do a cute fluffly animal!

I would love to try crochet but am left handed - does anyone have a link to show me how? Are there any other lefties out there who crochet and do they have any problems? I can knit but do it right handed and am very slow.

Hi I am left handed, but knit right handed.

I had a one hour tutorial at the local wool shop yesterday and she showed me right handed and I picked it up fairly well - even if I do say so myself :rotfl:

I reckon give it a go and you may surprise yourself.
