It's going well and I'm almost ready to tackle the first heal. Slightly worried!0 -
Greenpixey - thats a relief!! he took me 2 evenings to make.
Sue - am loving that website you put on with the animals. I am going to try the penguin. but i dont know if i want to do the penguin tonight or a hat. i still have some feathered wool to match my scarf that i knitted so might have to dig that out! oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh decisions decisions!!!! :P
i walked to the library in the snow (only round corner from school so not too bad) and it is shut on fridays so didnt get any books!!! am quite dissapointed. so this weekend will be a penguin and hat maybe. ds1 still asking for balaclava. so might be making one of them instead.0 -
Hmmm penguin or hat?????? Well hats make up fairly quick so you could give that a go then on Monday when you go back to the library you'll be nice and warm!
One sock down and one to go. I couldn't make heads or tails of the heel instructions. I ended up just making it up as I went along. To be honest it won't win any prizes but it fits fairly well.0 -
Rabbit is done, I made a tail by folding over one of the flowers I'd made and s/he isn't getting a nose/mouth cos I'd mess it up. The eyes are just beads I had knocking about.Save £6k in 2013 member 168 £1187/60000

Gosh, everyone's doing so well. Still on my square... have unpicked it about a million times... well, maybe not quite.
I love this star shaped afghan and am dying to try it, but need a bit more practice before trying to convert a US crochet pattern to UK since the stitch terms are so different... patience, patience."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -

Lanclass he is fantastic. I'm really liking the colours you've used
Magpye - That star patterns is so being added to my list of things to make. I need to invest in a ring binder and put all my intended makes in it. That'll be what I'm doing this weekend:rolleyes:
Well my socks are finished
I used the same wool as the hat. I bout 5 balls of it to make a knitted cardy and had 2 balls over. I've made the had and socks with just 1 ball with about 50g over. I'm really loving this wool. Its James C. Brett Marble Chunky and it comes in 200g balls. It costs around £4 a ball but you can get it for £2.99 on ebay!0
