    Hiya Lexie
    Still here lurking away.:hello:
Very motivated but somewhat demoralised about the state of my finances and the ever increasing needs/demands/few desires placed on them:mad:
i totally understand about being impatient about minimum payments on one card and overpaying othres. Though to be honest i think it makes sense. I might do that for the rest of the year and see how it goes.:undecided
if you don't mind my asking what kind of work do you do? My wild guess is nature taming:cool:
    i love smilies i do1

I love that comment, so, so true. It's a never ending rollercoaster that isn't enjoyable and you are doing everything in your power not to throw up and every opportunity!

    Evening all.

So was really brave and checked the balance of my HBOS OD today!!! OMG. Want to pass out on the spot. I have used it for work expenses which I will get back, but ooopps, I've been so relaxed and not pounding ontop of it. So I took £50 from one of the CC payments I was making and whacked it into the Current Account.

Made min payments on 3 cards and over paid on another. Have decided for this month anyway to over pay on one, the one that's nearest zero ( a long way off but a whole lot closer than the others!) and really hammer that debt.

I've stopped doing my PAD althougth I might start that again with the CC that I want to obliterate. But I have one of those money tins that you need a can opener to open and each night I am emptying my purse of anything below 50p coin, and they are getting put into the piggy bank. In true LL style I am not keeping any record of what I am putting in there so I therefore have no record of what I am saving. I am planning to use the funds from it for X mas.

I just need to get a move on and stop faffing around with things, keep hideously falling off the spending diary wagon. It's more like a bucking bronco for me. Good for a few go times and then off I'm flung.

    That's me for today.

    LL xx

well done for getting back on the bike, it's a tough ole ride this road that we're on, and i think boredom and stress are the biggest hills that we have to climb. sometimes you have to find what work for you and then concentrate on that. I've struggled recently as i've not been able to pay as much against my loan as i've wanted to, and it's got me down, but i've realised that if i have a goal to aim for, so i've been playing with what my numbers will look like when i've cleared the loan i've currently working on.
good luck LL we're here with you and for you.

Hey NDD, I am so impatient. Did you ever see the scene in confessions of a shopaholic where she pays her debt in dimes or quarters? I would LOVE to shimmy on into one CC company and do that with coppers. Ultimate incentive I think!

Lemon Tree!! Hi. How are you?

I know what you mean about the over payment. In your head you know it makes sense, and when I see my statement the following month I feel like crying. Funny, yesterday I could see NO end to this mess, today I sat chatting to a long time friend who is minted ( her 2 yr old son has an ipad!) and I left her house thinking 'I will do this!'.

So today I am smiling, tmmw I will probably be down again, but sure as you said 'we're here with you and for you'

Night DFW xxxx Love you all! xx

Guess what I'm here 2 days in a row!!! Whooohooo

But i've nothing to tell, just though I'd drop in and say hi.

Although that all said I did do a new budget last night and I actually have a few pounds extra each month to spare. That includes putting money away every month for car servicing, as my free servicing runs out in about 9 mths and I need to allocate money for tyres etc, mine are run flats and are stupidly priced.

I've also allowed money for Christmas! Like seriously hold onto your undies everyone, I am super organised. BUT and there always has to be a BUT, I'm only allowed £30 a wk for me. So that means I have to knuckle down and stop frittering money away on rubbish. I am aiming to pay my C One card by X mas. Big ask, HUGE ask, but sure if you don't aim high you'll never get there.

I've also posted on the forum about F & F settlements, don't know anything about them, and I've been quite honest in the post and said that, as I'd like to know more, especially for the big CC debt.

That's it for today. All very boring but slightly exciting at the same time too!

    Talk soon.

    Hi,

I was missing yesterday as I was away working for the day and didn't get back until late. All is quiet, no lottery won, so still on here and poor! I might have some money left at the end of this month, i say might as the figures aren't quite adding up properly at the min. Not 100% sure if it's end of day banking messing it all up or I over calculated something. I hope I over calculated something and I have a wee bit of money to throw at debt next mth!

Off to bed. All shrapnel is in the sealed tin.

night and I'll be back tmmw.
