Argh! A bit of a cold (not too bad) wearing me down. For Tuesday I'd planned a nice relaxing evening but couldn't get away any earlier than normal time but arrived at train station in plenty of time. Waiting for the train, they announced that it was going to leave from the other side of the platform, after the London train. THen they announced that no trains were leaving towards Bristol/London as there were cattle on the line near Newport. Then they told us to get out of the train as it was going to go somewhere else but 10minutes later they said the line was clear and get back onto the same train. 2 hrs of waiting!!! GRRR! Got home after 7pm.
The next morning, alarm was on for half 6 as was going to work bit later. However, felt absolutely knackered and called work on the off chance I could take a flexi day. I knew there were only 2 people working that day but if you don't ask,you don't get. I was lucky. So stayed in bed and next time I woke up it was 10am,still felt too tired to get up so another hour in bed before I could face getting up.
Does no one really have a magic pill to get me better and stop suffering from colds?
Also, got my letter about single status. It's very complicated as I've been in this other job for 18months but no paperwork has been changed so the job I used to do that I got transferred off because they said there was no funding for that post, is what I got the letter about. Gone down £4k! You're protected for a year, until 31/3/2013 and obviously I need to sort out the correct post for me but it's just a nightmare. All admin people bar one from our office have gone down. Bad times.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Thanks for the replies and encouragement. I will start looking after Xmas and even though I don't like it, I don't have much choice. The early starts and long days are taking it out of me as well and not helping with my colds. Feel run down and I almost need a day off every two weeks to catch up with my sleep so there's plenty of reasons to get it done. Hopefully early next year I have some good news to share. 2012 will be my year!
We had BFs work Xmas do on Friday night. A masquarade party in Bristol museum. It was really good fun and unlike last year, we knew more people. It was very cold night though and coming back on the taxi BF started feeling sick so out we went, unfortunately about a mile away from home so he wouldn't throw up in the taxi. I'll tell you that was the coldest mile in my sandals I've ever walked! And consequently, on Saturday I suffered with proper cold symptoms;runny nose, sneezing, feeling knackered. This just have to stop next year, I've again missed weeks training because I've felt so run down and I do think the early mornings and lack of sleep are affecting me greatly.
Hope everyone else has had a nice relaxing weekend.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Well, whole weekend was a very relaxed and chilled out affair. I'm ashamed to say that I did not go out once, for anything!
By Sunday night I was feeling really antsy but it'd started raining so wasn't going anywhere. Feel much better though to have had such a lazy weekend. I'm not sure if I have time this week but would like to get back into some easy swimming and maybe running this week but as it's the last week at work and at home and have loads still to do,it might not happen this week.
I'm making some heart decorations for my grandparents as Xmas pressies. Did my first one yesterday, the fabrics look really nice together but it wasn't perfect so I have to keep it to myselfand make some more. Plan is to make some ginger biscuits as well for BFs parents.
Supposed to go for vb xmas do this Saturday but I'm still not 100% sure I can make it. It's all just a bit too much for going away this weekend.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
