Cheers SH.
Went for another run yesterday, just and easy 35min plod. Will just take it easy this month and then see where I am and maybe take a more structured approach again.
I want to lose 7lbs this month. Nothing crazy, hopefully achievable but definitely tangible goal.
Was really tired last night, went to bed to read half 9 and put the lights out at 10pm. I think I've been having too little sleep and I don't want to get ill again so I think I just need earlier nights for now.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi Tirl - hope you manage to get some decent night's sleep - it does make such a differenceAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Ok. So it was my birthday weekend and I had the Friday off as we were off to North Wales camping. BF had booked the car for 8am but when we arrived they said they had our order for 12! It wasn't such a problem as we weren't quite sorted out anyway and we ended up having a much nicer car.
Got to the camping place quite late, there was no one else there so had the place to ourselves. Ate,had a drink, chatted,it started to rain, we went to bed.
Up early on Saturday. Realised we'd forgot to take breakfast but thankfully had bought half a dozen eggs from the farm the night before and still had some fresh baguette left. The eggs were awesome! So fresh that when we poached them they just held their shape perfectly without any molds. Yummy!
The camp ground was just to the north side off Cadair Idris so we could walk straight off from there. The day was beautiful, sunny and warm and not a hint of a breeze. Up the pony trail, then decided to walk on the ridge before heading back and climbing up Cadair Idris. Unfortunately it was in bit of a cloud when we reached it but still saw a bit. Stopped for lunch and carried on down a scree slope and then through field to get back to camp site. Decided to go and walk to Barmouth via the viaduct and have some well earned fish'n'chips! Got to the chippy, and there were 4 people standing behind the desk with loads of fish ready to go. After we'd ordered and sat down, a queue suddenly formed and lasted about 20 minutes. Most popular fish'n'chip shop I think! Then went for a drink in a nice pub (I did say I was allowed some on my birthday weekend!) before walking back on the viaduct in gorgeous moonlight! It was lovely.
Due to cold my legs were bit more tired from the walk that I would've expected so Sunday we headed to visit BF's mum and then dad before heading home where we got at 9pm. Just got my kit together for the next couple of days and went to bed. Bed was freezing though and didn't sleep very well. Got uup in time though and got to work for half 7 and had time to have a shower before starting.
I'm staying over in Cardiff on Tuesday night too as catching up with a friend and we're going to the cinema. Kind of wish I didn't have to and I could just go back home...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Thanks SH, it was a lovely weekend.
Just paid £100 off of loan from BF. Should get below 3K before the year is out!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Went to see a really good film last night - Anonymous which is telling a different story of who really wrote all the William Shakespeare stuff. Very interesting, makes you want to research the story a bit more.
Also,as stayed with a friend in Cardiff, didn't have to get up until 7am and was at work for 8. Already have accrued a flexi day so rest of the week will hopefully be normal hours and early finishes.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Went for a 44min run last night, the day before I coudn't be asked. Will try to go for another run during the weekend so I can run in day light.
Just booked tickets to see The Barber of Seville. Really cheap tickets, £10 so probably not that good seats but I've never been to an opera and really want to experience one. Might very well not be my cup of tea but got to give it a try. It's this Saturday so will let you know.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Opera would be a new experience for me too.... Let me know how you get on

Well, it all started very well and the seats were ok though we were so high up that it sometimes cut people's heads of, not really a problem though. But it was very long winded and I have to say I and my BF especially got slightly bored towards the end. I'm glad I went to see one but I'm not sure I'd be in a hurry to go for another one. I much prefer plays, ballet and classical concerts.
Couple of new charity shop finds yesterday;an awesome purple baker's hat, scarf, couple of Hornsea coffee/tea jars, nice saucer under a plant pot and a plant stand. Not quite as cheap as I would've have liked but only £23 so not bad. BF asked if I think I'll be able to change all of my wardrobe by charity shop finds in a year. Doubt it's going to happen that fast but a good challenge. I'll need to tot up how much I've spent to get all my charity shop finds.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
I'm not a very happy bunny. I have yet another cold!!!! Woke up with it on Sunday morning but it didn't really get worse until the evening. Had to train/cycle to work today as well because the motorbike tyre valve is not sealing. We were supposed to head of to Cribbs on Sunday but BF noticed straight away that something was wrong as bike was all wobbly and the tyre was completely flat!
As BF wanted to watch F1 I decided to walk to Cribbs and had a lovely time going round fabric/habedashery bit in J.Lew1s,then tkm@xx and then h0bbycr@ft. Tried a few things in the middle place and then found two dresses that I couldn't decide between so got them both to show BF and now I think I've decided to keep them both. One was £25,the other £30 so not bad. The other one is quite summery so use that if my sister gets married.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
