As I was bit chilly on the bike last time and I knew it was going to be colder this morning, I put the winter layer in my bike gear and what I normally were (leggins, thin long sleeved shirt and fleece) plus two neckwarmers (one is really thin, the other bit short). That pretty much did the trick though somehow from somewhere at some point, I always get a bit of 'fresh' air circulating into my upper chest which always makes bit chilly. Also,my gloves aren't quite warm enough though I'm sure they were supposed to be winter gloves. Anyway, we were always thinking about getting heated grips for winter use.

Might take this Friday off if it's approved. Want to watch the Wales vs Australia match live and not much point going all the way to work for half a day. Situation at the moment is just a bit funny. My line manager doesn't yet work in the same office but I have to request leave from her. My ex line manager who's in the same office says she's fine about it as we have enough cover so I need to communicate all this whilst requesting leave...

    Always tricky when between managers

My OH has always found any parts of a motorbike that are heated a massive bonus. The one he has now has a heated seat as well as grips and it makes a massive difference

Still resisting the heating going on at home altho it has got a lot colder and I am sat here with trousers on, a long sleave top, cardi and dressing gown on.... and I'm the one that's always too hot LOL

Got the Friday off which is great as it works out as one of the normal ones I need to take off anyway to save costs. And it's bonus I can watch the match live. :)

This morning my fingers got so cold, that by the time I got to Cardiff I stalled at every single traffic light because I couldn't feel the biting point. Car drivers behind me got bit peed off...:o BF shall have a look at heated grips at the weekend. He was wondering about a heated seat...have to look into that as well.

It was quite cold in the flat last night so we put the heating on and it was nice and warmer in the morning when I got up.

sounds like you definitely need heated seats.

Our house was really cold about 5am today so may need to rethink whether or not to put the heating on. If its too cold I will wake up - but at the same time the noise of the heating coming on could wake me up!! I was going hot and cold all night anyway....

I didn't sleep very well last night, not really sure why. Anyway, BF decided I could come on the motorbike today which was nice as I could sleep a little bit later. However, at the weekend, the roller shutter door to the garage jammed up when BF was going out in the morning. I had to call landlord and wait for him. I locked our push bikes together just in case but as we live in a cul-de-sac it's pretty safe. Anyway, forgot to unlock the bikes so BF has had to go to work on his mountain bike. I have no idea where my spare key to the lock is either and am not going home tonight...BF is on some kind of induction thing on Tuesday and Wednesday so won't see him before Wed night. He's going to call me later to go through all the possible places the key could be,and I left some chocolate 'hidden' in one of the places where it could be...:o

Didn't get the CC from Lloyds, annoying. Don't think I'll bother applying for anything now as I can pay off everything before end of next year, unless someone writes offering me a good deal. I should be able to pay BF off January latest, then santander is off in June and then just virgin left, I can deal with that though it's annoying having to pay interest.

Was lovely having Friday off and just managed to do enough hours to be on a plus even after it. Now I need to work extra so I can take my birthday Friday off as we're planning to go walking in North Wales. I want to do Cader Idris.

Saturday BF had to go to a team meeting thing, he's in a group from his work that are trying to raise as much money as poss for Sue Ryder charity. In the afternoon we just went for a walk nearby, there's quite a nice area close to us actually. Also, I need to start running and exercising again!!!! I need to do it!!!

Ouch to the lost key - that would be the sort of thing I would do, Hope he finds it and leaves you the chocolate.

DD is at MIL's and life feels very peaceful LOL She's a joy and delight but can be exhausting too. MIL is absolutely delighted to have her and misses her like crazy so I'm sure she'll have a good time. I mentioned the too many snacks and not enough exercise thing to MIL about DD. She said that DD spent most of the summer on the sofa with a blanket.... Hello.... Did you not think that was a problem? No wonder she put on so much weight that she still hasn't managed to get off if she sat around doing nothing all day

Love this!:D I hope so too.

Did she not mention to you that DD didn't do much during summer? Surely that's a bit of a sign that things are not quite right. Anyhoo, what do I know, I'm not a parent. What kind of exercise does she like?

I was looking forward to a 'lie-in' this morning as on the motorbike so didn't have to get up before half 6. However, someone's mobile was left in my room and their alarm went off at 5am!!!! Had to get up to switch it off as it was on the desk. Then it went off 10/20minutes later, was not impressed! So ended getting up 6.40am and on the way to work stopped at Mr A's to get lunch and was still at work on time! :)

Hi Tirl - well done on getting to work on time.

I think DD is a bit lazy - and her nan is naturally older and not as fit as she used to be. DD also has a problem with her feet so things she used to enjoy like skipping she now avoids. She has been to a "foot doctor" and does now have shoe inserts. They also encouraged us to buy proper trainers with an arch built in at the arch of her foot to support it better. All the shoes that MIL had kindly bought her for summer were flat so offered no real support - that alongside her feet growing didn't help her. Now she has the trainers and the inserts hopefully she will be more willing to walk and do exercise. She is doing streetdance at school....

It's hard when you have to trust someone else to look after your child and your child looks forward to it. It is natural as children to want treats etc - but MIL isn't very good at setting food treat limits so DD over-eats when she's there....
